    ChallengeAfter five editions of consistently high-quality publications, the American Cancer Society and Vital Strategies sought to create a more readable and engaging experience for users perusing the Atlas. With loads of data and no clear hierarchy of where to look or go next, they wanted the Sixth Edition of the Tobacco Atlas to capitalize on interactive opportunities, have a stronger narrative, a unified visual language, and an easy-to-use digital system both for users and administrators.
    SolutionOne of the main challenges with the previous print report was that it overwhelmed the readers with data and the content flow was cluttered. To fix this, we prioritized the creation of a narrative, using an illustrator to draw custom visuals for every chapter to connect the reader to the content. We also trimmed down the amount of data by prioritizing what needed to be in print and what could live online-only, and then designed clear invitations for the reader to find more on the website.
    For the interactive version of the Tobacco Atlas, we took these same strong visual and narrative storytelling principles guiding the print design, and leveraged interactive elements and web best practices to create a digital resource. What were static maps in the print report are now dynamic data visualizations, and the illustrative components create a unique experience for the user. Through powerful calls to action (CTAs) and intentional UX design, we worked hard to better anticipate ways to keep the user on the site and engaged. The website is also translated into multiple languages, making it accessible to a broader audience.

    Since the 1950s, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has made extraordinary strides in curing blood cancers and improving patients’ lives. But the donor public had little awareness of LLS and its impact on the cancer landscape. Our integrated advertising campaign changed minds and behavior in a big way. Eschewing the usual guilt and sentimentality, it shows the pioneering results contributions have led to, all under the theme line, “Someday is today.” (Yes, the voice in the TV is indeed actor Michael C. Hall, a leukemia survivor.)
    Results: TV, OOH, print and digital contributed to a media-surround strategy that in less than one year put LLS on the map as a leading edge charitable organization and produced a 50% lift in average daily donations at peak spend when all media were working together, and a 15% lift in site traffic during the flight. Ultimately we generated a significant ROI as annual online donations were 88% higher in markets exposed to our campaign.

    Content marketing has become an essential part of any digital marketer’s toolbox. It is ubiquitous, a common component of online campaigns for everyone — from mom and pop stores to multinational conglomerates.
    But while more content than ever before is currently being produced, most of us are still making a colossal mistake. We are investing more of our time, money, and resources into producing the content, than we are ensuring people actually get to experience it.

    The inspiration actually originated from the fast food sector; where meal combos that package menu items together into a quick, easy, and affordable bundle are becoming increasingly popular.
    So, we decided to take the same approach when it came to content — only instead of combining fries, chicken, and a drink into a single combo, we’ve packaged together the top performing elements of a successful marketing and distribution campaign.

    With such a large coverage and so many variations in language and market, ERA wanted a solution that would present a unified brand and messaging, but that could be adapted to meet the needs of the individual office.
    Through workshops and an extensive speccing process, we were able to explore the best means of achieving ERAs complex requirements. The websites were built in WordPress as ease of editing and search engine optimisation were essential.

    Oaxaca Taqueria is a regional restaurant with 15 locations throughout New York City emphasizing Mexican food made with organic, locally sourced ingredients.​
    The client reached out to CBC to request assistance in growing its brand and making it more recognizable within the New York City area.
    ​The Action
    CBC developed relationships with a number of food influencers who were interested and excited to share information about Oaxaca with their followings. 
    In addition, the CBC coordinated an in-store influencer marketing event targeting vegan influencers, inviting them to sample the restaurant’s newly-launched vegan menu and offering free promotional codes for all influencers to share with their followers.

We promise not to create work that's a feel-bad reminder of what most women are not, and we expect women to be savvy and capable of understanding the way what they put on their bodies works. For Exuviance, a high-end Johnson & Johnson brand, we created a campaign that successfully invigorated three products with gorgeous visuals that focused purely on the product and its attributes, along with language that relied heavily on wit and was loaded with hardcore science - never dumbed down, never inflated.

    Advent Health- Case Study

    In 2018, Advent Health went through a major relaunch and rebranding. 
    We were brought in by an agency out of Atlanta who vetted us from a large number of content agencies—and it was a MEGA project. The project encompassed 29 hospitals, 7 regions, 4 institutes, and 2,136 pages. We had an 8-month timeframe to deliver and to make sure 78 stakeholders FELT great. 
    For this case, our process involved writing prototype pages. In this case, we wrote them, they approved, we got feedback. This client didn’t realize what they wanted until they had something to react to. They saw the copy and they were able to guide us more specifically. With their feedback, we went back and rewrote, and we nailed it.  
    We had 100s of deliverables in overlapping batches, all at different stages. At our fullest size, we had 16 writers and 5 content strategists working full-time.
    In the end, our project management system worked so well that 22squared—which is, by the way, a sizable agency—ended up using our tools for the copywriting portion. We were really flattered that they did.For every page of every project we touched, we applied a 35-point Quality Control process, which went far beyond typos to include items like ensuring engagement, aligning brand tone, making titles exciting and clickable, etc. Because of the ultra specificity of this project’s requirements—and because things were changing by the day or sometimes the hour—we broke up our normal Quality Control into different layers. Our last image illustrates those layers.

    Setting commuters at ease with real-time vehicle tracking technology
    Sparked by an idea from former football player Kevin Plank for a perspiration-wicking T-shirt in the mid-90s, Under Armour has grown into an international sportswear company that continues to inspire ingenuity. Under Armour’s 2016 HQ expansion plans included a 50-acre location at Port Covington in Baltimore.
    Providing a convenient, reliable shuttle service for employees and visitors between the Locust Point and Port Covington campuses was a high priority for Under Armour. Mindgrub delivered a sleek, intuitive app to help travelers easily navigate routes and receive arrival alerts. The app’s scalability allows for additional routes and modes of transportation as facilities at the new location continue to be built.
    Incorporation of Under Armour’s strict brand guidelines, production of all iconography, and utilization of the TransLoc API all went into providing this customized app. Now riders can tap the interactive map, see the shuttle schedule, and locate any vehicle in the system. All travelers need to do now is thoroughly enjoy their rides, with certainty and predictability.

    Challenge:
    Maverik Lacrosse was founded in 2005 by John Gagliardi and Jay Jalbert. Later acquired by a new holdings company, the client needed to reposition the brand and create a clear message to differentiate from growing competitors. The challenge was to create a refreshed brand aesthetic that would attract and engage a younger, vibrant audience in line with the forecasted audience demographics.
    Solution:
    Through our in-depth discovery phase, we searched for opportunities within the competitive landscape that the brand could rightfully own while best representing its core strengths. Maverik Lacrosse needed a clear differentiator, and we found that through its history and roster of talented players. When the brand was first developed, it was highly focused on its innovative products and the benefits they offered. The refreshed brand brought these concepts back to the forefront while highlighting those who benefited most – the players.
    The result was the brand tagline, “Powered by the Player.”
    Images and copy supported the concept with stories of player performance and aspiration. Using movement, action, and power, we created a rich, emotional connection that inspired confidence and excitement.
