    Since the 1950s, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has made extraordinary strides in curing blood cancers and improving patients’ lives. But the donor public had little awareness of LLS and its impact on the cancer landscape. Our integrated advertising campaign changed minds and behavior in a big way. Eschewing the usual guilt and sentimentality, it shows the pioneering results contributions have led to, all under the theme line, “Someday is today.” (Yes, the voice in the TV is indeed actor Michael C. Hall, a leukemia survivor.)
    Results: TV, OOH, print and digital contributed to a media-surround strategy that in less than one year put LLS on the map as a leading edge charitable organization and produced a 50% lift in average daily donations at peak spend when all media were working together, and a 15% lift in site traffic during the flight. Ultimately we generated a significant ROI as annual online donations were 88% higher in markets exposed to our campaign.

    Content Marketing Strategy: Three Piece Meal

    Content marketing has become an essential part of any digital marketer’s toolbox. It is ubiquitous, a common component of online campaigns for everyone — from mom and pop stores to multinational conglomerates.
    But while more content than ever before is currently being produced, most of us are still making a colossal mistake. We are investing more of our time, money, and resources into producing the content, than we are ensuring people actually get to experience it.
    Companies around the globe are guilty of investing too much time and budget on the production of their content, and not enough on its amplification. Often they are producing infrequent piece-meal content on an ad hoc schedule.Recognizing that this is a common challenge for marketers, we developed the concept of the “Three Piece Meal” — a content marketing campaign neatly packaged into an easily digestible format with easy-to-understand pricing.
    The inspiration actually originated from the fast food sector; where meal combos that package menu items together into a quick, easy, and affordable bundle are becoming increasingly popular.
    So, we decided to take the same approach when it came to content — only instead of combining fries, chicken, and a drink into a single combo, we’ve packaged together the top performing elements of a successful marketing and distribution campaign.

    525 America Brand Identity

    525 America has been creating high quality, contemporary women’s knitwear since 1983. With roots in Brooklyn, they have a rich history anchored to 7th Avenue. Our challenge was to re-design a contemporary brand and website that would live within a competitive landscape and also appeal to a younger audience while still retaining interest from their core demographic.Through brand workshops with the senior stakeholders, we helped define the brand story and identified and researched the competition through perceptual mapping of brands in the same space. Under the theme ‘Born in Brooklyn,’ we honed in on characteristics and attributes around the brand. The result is a custom-crafted typographic mark and minimal identity reflective of an established brand that is markedly New York. We created a flexible grid system to be used across all collateral. Looking at the history of New York itself for typographic inspiration, we pulled references from vintage billboards, street signs, and store-fronts. A fully responsive eCommerce site was developed for all devices, ensuring all customers receive the same quality experience online, wherever they are.

We promise not to create work that's a feel-bad reminder of what most women are not, and we expect women to be savvy and capable of understanding the way what they put on their bodies works. For Exuviance, a high-end Johnson & Johnson brand, we created a campaign that successfully invigorated three products with gorgeous visuals that focused purely on the product and its attributes, along with language that relied heavily on wit and was loaded with hardcore science - never dumbed down, never inflated.

    DESTINATION DC WEBSITE USER EXPERIENCE

    SITUATION Under pressure to embrace the Washington, D.C. experience off of the National Mall, Destination DC (DDC) launched a new advertising campaign and microsite, DC Cool. As DDC grew more confident that thematically DC Cool was resonating across audiences, they recognized the need to reimagine the campaign and relaunch Washington.org.ACTION It was critical to build a user experience centered on content-first strategy. By creating a content road map as a lead artifact to drive the project, we armed our UX team with the proper tools to design intuitive user paths for core audiences through fluid navigation. We created custom paths supported by highly relevant content to drive engagement and higher conversion rates. Our understanding of users’ behaviors and preferences shaped the approach to organizing partner listings, UGC, events, social media sharability and related or sponsored content.
    FOCUS ON NEIGHBORHOODS
    A major strategic shift was making the DC neighborhoods the hero of the site. The video below shows how a user can navigate and explore the unique neighborhoods via landing pages filled with editorial content supplemented with videos and UGC visuals.
    AN EVENTS SECTION THAT WORKS
    We evolved beyond the promotional carousel and traditional calendar, opting for more diverse methods to create visual interest on the page. In the events section, we can showcase a featured event and provide suggestions for further exploration by using editorial content and displaying upcoming events. An option to search by category and neighborhood is also available.
