In addition, when existing customers called up the customer care with issues or questions, agents were unable to deliver timely service because customer information was stored in multiple locations, and many a times information was not up to date. The company also wished to get more of its agents in banks to sell policies to customers: a feat which was possible only if stringent banking security standards were met.
