Project OverviewThe AR Fitting Room is a virtual fitting room which allows users to pick out clothing and try them all out virtually. This project is built on the most sophisticated technologies: augmented reality and Microsoft Kinect. Augmented reality enables the customers to select a piece of clothing without having to try it on physically. As a customer, you see yourself on-screen with a 3D copy of a dress. Kinect is used to take a scan of a body then they can apply their choice of attire on a screen, letting them quickly check out how a piece of clothing looks on them.ClientA private investor.IndustryE-commerce.ChallengeThe challenge was to create a virtual fitting room that allows customers to see an accurate reflection of what a particular item will look like on them. The fitting room should run smoothly on desktop and be easily integrated with an AR-enabled mirror for an entirely new personalized shopping experience.Development ProcessWe brainstormed different ways to solve each pain point and created a prototype application that runs on devices with a Kinect camera. This camera allows you to determine the human body and try on it a 3D model of the selected clothing. You can also take a photo of yourself while trying on and send it by QR code.Tech StackTo create and implement a fitting room, our developers have used the following technical stack and tools:

College and university admission offices can use the College Interactive platform to inform, engage, and recruit prospective students.With the instant access to a database of over 5000 institutions of higher learning, College Interactive revolutionizes the admission marketing and recruitment process by providing an instant personalized marketing channel via mobile devices to colleges and universities to interact with prospective students. The mobile app helps students to simplify college or university search process based on their achievements and interests, to engage with admission offices, to learn about the application process, requirements, and payment options.

Background: Syniverse is a global provider of carrier interoperability solutions. Syniverse identified a need for a product for universal messaging API designed for corporate customers. The main goal is to provide the means for corporations to reach their user base independent of where and what type of messaging service said user base prefers.
Approach: SoftAvail staffed a team of highly experienced software architects, software developers and QA. We worked with the Syniverse product and engineering teams to define the requirements. Following the scrum/agile methodology and working closely with the Syniverse product team, we built a PoC and presented to Syniverse management. After management approval, we proceeded with building the full scale product and we are currently in support and maintenance mode constantly improving the functionality and performance.
Solution: Syniverse Communication Gateway offers APIs for sending and receiving messages over SMS, MMS, OTT services (Facebook Messenger, WeChat, WhatsApp), Push Notification services and RCS. The SCG product is implemented as a highly scalable, geo redundant, multi-tenant, multi-site hosted solution exposing a REST API. Its flexible rule engine allows on-the-fly transformation of the content payload based on a recipient's profile. SCG is built in Java, uses Apache Kafka for queuing and Mongo DB. Our software engineers built a full unit test suite. Our QA team built a full component test automation allowing for continuous integration as well as a full end-to-end test automation. We have configured automated builds and smoke tests using Jenkins. Complementary to the SCG APIs, we also built a UI console using Angular allowing for corporations to configure their service, test message sending and maintain groups. Results: Syniverse launched the product in 2017 and is successfully serving customers. They now has a product, with which to compete with Twilio.
