GSD® was invited by Vauxhall to produce an innovative direct mail piece to promote its new Eco-Flex range of cars. Loaded with intelligent new technology, the Eco-Flex range demanded a campaign that would reflect a ‘smart solutions’ theme and firmly underline the brand’s innovative positioning.
Our designers created a vibrant interloopmailer® using bold graphics to communicate key product information. The mailer’s four different sides proved ideal for telling the Eco-Flex story in an engaging, easily digestible sequence and featured a wide range of vehicles that use the technology.
The Eco-Flex mailer gave the target audience plenty to think about and look at too – delivering a high number of enquiries to dealers on the Vauxhall network. Once again interloopmailer® proved itself to work exceptionally well for promoting advanced technology products.

As usual, when taking on a new client who has an existing Magento 2 installation, we carried out a number of site audits for Tom Dixon to fully understand what has been delivered, where there are potential issues and set a baseline of code and site quality that has been delivered to date. Each of these audits provided a raft of work to be prioritised and delivered for Tom Dixon over the coming weeks and months.The out-of-the-box search for Magento 2 wasn’t performing well for Tom Dixon. The search result rendering was slow, the ordering of results wasn’t best for their products and the search was lacking the “wow” already visible on parts of the rest of the site. Also, the mobile interface was inconsistent in places and difficult to use leading to high drop-off/bounce rate on mobile devices and very low conversion. Tom Dixon have a wide-reaching global following and it’s made business sense to deliver a localised website to various countries. This has started with a transactional Hong Kong site with more to follow. Working closely with translation agencies, payment providers, shipping and more.There is a lot of work to deliver. And in record time. We can’t say more, but just keep checking in on the website every few months and watch it evolve.

The second trip is to China with a visit to the Great Wall, Market Awareness Sessions, B2B meetings with Chinese companies and a market introduction from Weber Shandwick at the British Embassy. The Global Business Dinner was held at the St. Andrew’s Old Course Hotel with His Excellency Ambassador Liu Xiaoming giving a Q&A. We worked with language interpreters on the Chinese material to make sure the translation was accurate, used image manipulation to merge Scotland with China and overcame obstacles to deliver all material on budget and on time. Both trips and the dinner were a huge success with delegates attending from a wide range of sectors and areas in Scotland.

Established in London in 2010, Opilio Recruitment are the go-to digital recruitment agency for global brands, tech start-ups and everything in between. They have some incredible connections within the industry, with clients including Disney, Universal Music and the BBC.We were commissioned to create a new digital recruitment and testimonial brochures that reflected the work we have done on the refreshed brand. These brochures will be sent out to both new and existing clients as support literature with upcoming roles.
We also created a new set of brochures to support the executive recruitment packs that are sent out to Opilio clients and candidates. The Executive Search brochure was designed to target prospective clients who are looking to recruit an executive-level position, and the Competency Based Interviews brochure acted as a pre-interview guide for executive-level candidates.
We also rolled out a wide range of collateral both online and offline including letterheads, business cards, CV and PowerPoint templates, email campaigns and social media templates. We are also supporting them in writing content for blogs, corporate literature, social media and the new website.
Overall, this has been a great project to work on which has evolved into an ongoing client relationship. We are currently working on a design and marketing retainer service which will feature predominantly on their social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

Featuring exclusive, ‘Z fold’ technology, the perceived wisdom that folding bikes cannot be full-size and rewarding to ride has been turned upside down. As the brand’s ethos is firmly fixed on quality and craftsmanship, Fabrik provided the perfect fit. Working closely with inventor and managing director, Stuart Lambert, we created the Crosshead logotype. We then fed this into the development of a broader visual identity, which has been applied to the Company’s website, promotional videos and marketing communications.
To broaden Crossheads reach and appeal, the model line-up extends to bikes suited for most purposes, riding styles and terrains. From all terrain, sport and touring models, to an all out racer. Which created a dilemma, as all Crosshead folding bikes carry the same fit and finish. To distinguish between the range, Fabrik introduced a distinctive, but complementary, colour palette, which immediately identifies the model.

Vodafone X has teamed up with Appetite Creative and OMD to offer the chance to win a brand new iPhone. On Wednesday, 6 June 2018, Vodafone X hid a brand new iPhone somewhere in Dundrum Town Centre as part of a public treasure hunt. There was no dog-eared map with an X marking the spot with this one though: the clever heads at Appetite Creative Solutions made it 100% digital and completely via smartphone Here’s how it worked. You show up at the Vodafone Store at 1 pm. Once there, whip out your phone and scan QR code and you have your first clue. You’re off and running from there. Each code you scan will lead you to the next spot. If you do it right, you should end up back in the store after visiting three locations. The fastest time on the day wins. The campaign had 73 participants running around town and one lucky winner with a gleaming new iPhone. 411 Instagram likes, 61 Facebook likes along with a huge message thread as well as almost 300 article covering it means that we are already in the process of setting up the next series of treasure hunts. Creating a nationwide tennis initiative as part of Sport England's hugely successful This Girl Can campaign
Following a successful pilot scheme, LTA tasked us with rolling out their Tennis Tuesdays initiative nationwide with a new campaign. In partnership with Nike, Tennis Tuesdays brings coach-led weekly sessions to outdoor tennis clubs across the country, exclusively for women, whatever their skill level. In the wake of Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign, the initiative felt more relevant than ever, and with fantastic consumer insights, we were armed with all we needed to find the heart of the project and get more women signing up.
‘Tuesday isn’t good for me’
Modern women’s lives are busy, varied, hectic and stressful. Tennis Tuesdays offers a regular slot to keep all for yourself – where you can focus, release the day’s stresses, feel yourself get fitter, stronger and better at the game, and make new friends. All within a short walk of home or work. We wanted to capture that satisfaction of being unavailable when you have another commitment that’s all yours. ‘Tuesday isn’t good for me’, because Tuesday is good for me.
Launched in April 2015, sessions have been selling out and have fantastic repeat sign up – a key performance measure for the initiative. National, regional and consumer media coverage achieved over £250k advertising equivalent value (an increase of almost 400% year on year), and almost a quarter of attendees continued playing tennis beyond the 6 sessions of the scheme. Turtle Mat have customers who like to order online or by telephone. There was an issue in that their telesales team had no access to online orders or customer information. So people ringing up to enquire about an order were often given the incorrect information as the telelsales team had no access to online orders.
Turtlemat use an outsourced telesales company who are used to working with their own software, so it was a challenge to build them something that would be easily adopted and easy to use. When we produced the final call centre software for them we were told that it was the best that they had ever used from a 3rd party provider.
Now when ever any calls to discuss an order which was placed online, or if they look up an order online which they placed by phone they get the same information. Telesales staff also now have access to all the online offers and promotions running at any one time.
The integration of the call centre software was part of an e-commerce project linking Call Centre, Fulfillment House and Website all together.

SummaryThe entrepreneurs behind the app were frustrated at how cumbersome booking a ski guide could be and wanted to make mountains easy. Less admin, less guesswork, more time for fun. Instead of the traditional blend of cash payments, word of mouth and patchy communication, they asked us to create a new method of connecting tourists to instructors so they could book direct.After an extensive Discovery phase, it became clear that there were exciting possibilities beyond booking ski guides. Together we identified two important sets of end users: the travellers looking for a mountain experience, and the service providers who meet their needs. Not just ski and snowboard instructors, but chefs, massage therapists, childcare providers and taxis.ApproachWe walked hand in hand with the clients through the booking process to make sure that the user experience would be smooth, seamless and social, from real-time chats and recommendations to splitting the bill. Our in-house team created the appealing Dahu identity, launch site and promotional video. The whole process took place in an agile development environment, so we could test each functionality on the fly.The TechWe love solving complex problems, and Dahu was no exception. We built an on-demand platform for the Dahu app to match tourists to guides: skiers post requests and ski guides respond to them. We chose React Native and GraphQL to create a rich user interface and fast, stable backend, supported by a payment platform that could handle the complex functionalities we needed.It was important that the platform was lightning quick and smart enough to withstand spotty connectivity in the mountains. The payment processor had to work with multiple local currencies as well as support affiliate commission, bill-sharing and the specific needs of all the various users.

Through filtering functionality, users are able to surface relevant data with the ability to download their key findings. Users can also take an in-depth look into each company profile and view more specific KPI data. Companies are scored against 9 risk factors, these all having 2 unique icons for different applications; corporate and playful.
The initial expectation for the index was to be annually updated, but due to the successful launch, the site will be updated every quarter; expanding the company data set. In the first week of launch, the index generated over 100 media articles from sites such as The Financial Times, BBC news, The Guardian, and has helped FAIRR increase their site visits by 641% vs last year.
