Fitness for Weight Loss is a personal fitness app designed specifically to help users looking to lose weight. The app gives users access to customized workout and fitness plans. Workouts are short modules that users can complete anywhere, anytime. Users have the option to add multiple workouts per day to boost their results.
On launching the app for the first time, the user is taken through a short onboarding process that asks them to answer a few questions about their current fitness level and enter a few stats on weight, height, and other personal details. These are used to help the app customize content based on the user’s ability and provide accurate estimates about things like calories burned.
The home screen and main area of the app features a card-based design where each workout is represented by a rectangular card featuring the training day and some brief info on the day’s workout. The user can tap the info icon on the card to find out more about what the workout entails. This info includes an overview of duration, number of exercises, and active workout time. There are also links to explore instructions for each of the moves in the workout, including writing instructions and short video clips.
Navigation is handled through an expandable menu accessed through a hamburger menu in the top left corner of the screen. From there users can access their workout schedule, update their weight and training stats, and access tips to help them achieve their goals.
The Fitness for Weight Loss app has a friendly, approachable design that helps make weight loss feel less intimidating. The color palette includes a bright red-pink background color and bold yellow accent. The photography used has a unified aesthetic that works seamlessly with the overall design of the app.
