Accelerator Active Energy is introducing a new flavor with the launch of a new campaign starring Kansas City Chief's tight end Travis Kelce.
The campaign, marked by a one-minute spot, sees the NFL superstar as "Travis Cornflower," donning a look inspired by the character of Ron Burgundy in the 2004 film "Anchorman."
Here, he is seen behind a broadcast desk to break the news of Accelerator Active Energy's newest "Orange Ice Pop" flavor, which Kelce dubs "the best flavor of all flavors."
Orange Ice Pop adds to the energy drink brand's wide array of flavors, including Peach Paradise, Cherry Ice Pop, Rocket Pop, and more.
The drinks boast a blend of 200mg of caffeine from coffee and green tea, as well as ashwagandha and COQ10 to provide drinkers with sustained energy, a metabolism boost, and mental clarity.
With Kelce often seen with the energy drink on hand during his tunnel walks and games, it was only natural for the brand to get him for its latest creative spot — and a great way to utilize celebrity and influencer marketing.
So Good, It Makes Kelce Cry
The one-minute spot kickstarts with Kelce introducing himself as the news anchor "Travis Cornflower" while sporting a hairstyle and suit akin to Burgundy's.
"We have some breaking news here. What is that? You guys hearing this? Okay, I'm getting word from my producer who is very good with words that this new flavor — holy citrus — it's 'Orange Ice Pop,' the best flavor of all flavors," the news reporter enthusiastically tells the viewers.

The star then begins to cry in front of the camera, emotional that the drink looks "even better than I thought it would be."
"It looks like it tastes so amazing," he adds.
As Kelce composes himself, the broadcast goes on standby, and the spot ends with the actor wishing all the news of viewers to be good news.
Previously, podcast host Alex Cooper launched her new drink brand "Unwell Hydration."
