Apple is once again teaming up with global sensation The Weeknd — this time, for an immersive new experience like no other.
Exclusive to the tech giant's mixed reality headset Vision Pro, the "Open Hearts" music experience will see the artist "through a surreal, haunting cityscape in this electrifying sonic voyage."
What makes this experience particularly special is the Apple Immersive Video feature that leverages "3D video recorded in 8K with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio to transport viewers to the center of the action."
Last month, Apple released the 16-minute short film, "Submerged," the first scripted movie using Apple Immersive Video.
To generate hype for the latest short film with The Weeknd, the tech giant dropped a 38-second trailer that boasted stunning visuals and other-worldly landscapes.
The new experience is slated to drop in Apple Vision Pro on November 14 and in the App Store on November 15.
Apple has widely been known to use celebrity and influencer marketing to tout the features of its products through the "Shot on iPhone" campaign, seeing collaborations with artists like Lady Gaga, NewJeans, and more.
"Open Hearts" with The Weeknd is no different, cementing Apple's status as a pioneer of the mixed reality experience.
A Visual Spectacle
The 30-second trailer gets straight into business by treating viewers with scenic action shots on the road, on a stage, and in a futuristic city with upside-down skyscrapers.
While not much is revealed, we also see shots of The Weeknd himself in a state of shock, opening the doors into the unknown.
The trailer ends with a cliffhanger as a mysterious man cloaked in a black robe starts to remove the hood covering his face.

This latest effort from Apple is not the tech giant's first dance with the pop superstar.
Last September, the "Blinding Lights" singer worked together with Apple for their "Shot on iPhone" campaign, filming the music video of his single "Dancing in the Flames" solely using the iPhone 16 Pro.
