Apple UK is showing everyone the superior camera abilities of its new iPhone 16 Pro Max by teaming up with renowned director Gavin Strange of animation studio Aardman to make a short stop-motion film for Wallace & Gromit.
Last Friday, the tech giant announced that the new six-minute short film will be aired on London's Battersea Power Station every day from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. until New Year's Eve.
Here, lucky passersby can snap selfies and watch the short film on two towers facing the River Thames, as they transform into tall Christmas trees.
The best part? It's completely free.

Notably, the project comes as part of Apple's ongoing "Shot on iPhone" campaign, which previously featured artists such as K-Girl group NewJeans and global pop star The Weeknd.
In a news release, Aardman, who's the creators of Wallace & Gromit, said they created the stop-motion film using the Dragonframe Tether app and Telephoto mode on eight iPhone 16 Pro Max phones, creating stunning, sharp, and colorful 6K imagery.
“Shooting stop-motion animation on iPhone with the legendary Wallace & Gromit, to then be projected onto the iconic Battersea Power Station, makes this unique in so many ways.
I hope that this Christmas, everyone feels inspired to start shooting their own stop-motion masterpieces, and I’m excited and proud of what we’ve all created,” Strange, who's also Aardman's graphic design lead, said.
Through a sound brand marketing strategy and campaign, the tech giant once again shows how it pushes the boundaries of smartphone technology.
Beyond music videos, iPhones can also be the go-to tool for creating visually stunning stop-motion films, and Apple proved this by partnering with a renowned animation production company like Aardman.
Becoming a Stop-Motion Animator with iPhone 16 Pro
Alongside the out-of-home spot, Apple also launched two videos online giving audiences an inside look at the making of the short film and tips on how to create stop-motion using the iPhone 16 Pro.
Here, Strange walks us through his process, as well as how he utilizes the smartphone's camera features to create something special.
"A stop-motion animation of this scale, to have been created on an iPhone, is absolutely mind-bending. It's unfathomable, in every single way," he says in the video.
He then speaks of how the iPhone's Telephoto camera allowed the team to shoot from a distance while still capturing "the beautiful little details in ProRAW as if we were still right up close."
"From complex lighting to processing and compatibility, it proved its power as a great stop-motion tool," he adds.
Strange then invites everyone to try stop-animation at home as the spot ends.
Recently, Apple also launched a heartwarming holiday spot touting the hearing aid feature of its AirPods Pro 2.
