British Airways has teamed up with renowned Austin eatery Franklin Barbecue to craft exclusive bottles of "BA-B-Q" sauce for its Club World customers.
The efforts come in part to commemorate a decade of service connecting Austin and London Heathrow on March 3.
Throughout March, travelers departing from Austin to London with British Airways will be treated to a delectable Texas-inspired barbecue menu that draws inspiration from Franklin Barbecue's iconic flavors, carefully created by the airline's Executive Chef, Mark Brega.
"Franklin Barbecue is a legendary establishment in Austin," Brega shared.
"We are always looking for culinary inspiration in the cities we fly, so it was a delight to meet Aaron Franklin and learn from his passion and expertise and share Franklin Barbecue's Original BBQ sauce with our customers."
In light of the celebration, British Airways released a two-minute short film detailing Chef Brega's process of creating the menu to celebrate the decade of flying from Austin to London.
Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, expressed the airline's enthusiasm.
"We're excited to celebrate a decade of connecting Austin and London. At British Airways, we're committed to providing an exceptional and original experience for our customers," he said in a press release.
"It's an honor to help represent Austin as we celebrate ten years of a straight shot between these two great cities, and all kinds of fun to share this special sauce with British Airways travelers!" Aaron Franklin added.
