Chipotle is going all in on Cinco de Mayo this year, with a digital scavenger hunt, free burritos, and app promos that run for nearly a week.

The centerpiece is "Ingredient Quest," a new experience inside the Chipotle Burrito Builder on Roblox, launching May 5 at 3 p.m. PT.

Players are challenged to collect all 53 virtual ingredient cards, each one based on a real item on Chipotle's menu.

The first 50,000 people to complete the set win a free entrée.

In a press release, Chipotle Chief Brand Officer Chris Brandt highlighted how much the chain's fans love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

"This year, we're giving the Roblox community the opportunity to compete for free Chipotle and learn more about what makes our brand unique along the way."

The game taps into the collectible card craze, offering players "packs" they can unlock with in-game currency earned by rolling burritos.

Most cards come from packs, but eight are hidden across the Burrito Builder world in a digital scavenger hunt.

Chipotle's new effort follows a streak of successful activations on the Roblox platform.

It also highlights how brand partnerships with gaming platforms can increase engagement with younger audiences.

By mixing real-world rewards and digital play, these collaborations are turning branded experiences into scalable loyalty drivers.

$1 Million in Free Food Awaits

The brand isn't just focusing on players.

From May 1 to May 5, anyone ordering through the Chipotle app or website can get free delivery using the code DELIVER.

And from May 3 to May 5, there’s a second offer: free chips and queso with the code CINCO25.

Together, the giveaways add up to what Chipotle says will be more than $1 million worth of food.

The Mexican restaurant is known for its quirky marketing campaigns.

Last month, the chain celebrated National Fork Day by selling a collectible set of its black plastic forks.

Earlier in February, it also launched an animated spot about its sustainable efforts featuring a special cover by Halsey.
