Shampoo brand Clear Men has tapped on global football star Cristiano Ronaldo to be the face of its latest advert showing just how effective its anti-dandruff formula is.
In the 30-second advert, the Saudi Pro League forward faces the challenging heat as he runs across a scorching stadium.
While dandruff, grease, and germs are among the common hair problems experienced by men, Ronaldo takes these challenges with confidence through Clear Men. The new and improved shampoo boasts triple zero tech and instantly cools the scalp, leaving it fresh even when on the pitch.
"There's nothing to fear, be Clear, be fearless," the spot concludes, as the renowned football star scores a goal.
Filmed under the pandemic, the Clear team had to work around several restrictions while producing the spot.
Art Director Reema Trehan shared her involvement with the project, as well as the task she and her team had at hand.
"During the pandemic, we managed to shoot an entire TVC with Cristiano Ronaldo (remotely) and come up with 30-second and 15-second ads. I was involved in the project from storyboarding (until) the final output. Managed and coordinated with the production house to fine-tune and create 3D effects," Trehan explained.
Ronaldo, a long-time Clear ambassador, had acted in several beforeior to the brand's pandemic campaign to promote its men's shampoo.
In 2014, the award-winning football player starred in a similar futuristic sci-fi spot that highlighted the hair product's dandruff-proof qualities.
