DirecTV is back with another hilarious spot to highlight its satellite-free streaming services — this time, starring San Francisco 49ers' very own George Kittle.
Made together with agency TBWA\Chiat Day\LA, "Nothing on Your Roof" shows fans what it's like to have a taste of the "Footbald" lifestyle, as Kittle sports a shiny, shaved head, trailed by lush and golden locks.
This creative choice is supposed to be a not-so-subtle metaphor for how football fans will no longer need a satellite on their roofs to enjoy their favorite football programs on DirecTV.

According to Statista, streaming subscription services have inched their way to the top spot as the #1 way people watch football.
This is why the company's campaigns, together with its latest work, aim to bust the myth that "DirecTV = satellite," reinforcing its status as a mighty, satellite-free choice of a streaming service for sports fans everywhere.
Apart from the advert, "Nothing on Your Roof" will also entitle fans to an opportunity to win a custom "Footbald" helmet signed by Kittle, designed specifically to match his latest hairdo.
The campaign stretches beyond spots and giveaways, giving users a new AR Snap filter if they want to try out the football star's empty-roof haircut.
The latest from the brand and agency comes after a string of advertisements featuring DirecTV's hit pigeon mascots, Frankie and Bobbie.
More recently, it also launched a spot with football legend Deion Sanders as one of the pigeons.
By constantly pairing with influential figures within the realm of football, DirecTV is not only able to excite its viewers with its star-studded features but also primes it to be a go-to streaming service for football fans everywhere.
It's a prime example of influencer marketing done right, pairing memorable spots with popular sports stars.
It's A Metaphor
The 45-second advert kicks off with Kittle directly talking to the viewers, letting them know that they can now stream DirecTV without a satellite dish.
"That means the football you love, with nothing on your roof," the star emphasizes.
Viewers are then treated to a hilarious montage of the tight end showing off in his new hairdo as he basks on the roof.

Throughout the dream sequence, we see his hair blown majestically by a man handling a gigantic fan, before the man is seen blowing it onto himself.
"You heard right, get your favorite pro and college football with nothing on your roof," Kittle tells the viewers.
The spot ends with a showcase of the signed "footbald" helmet that fans can win by visiting the DirecTV website.
Previously, DirecTV and TBWA\Chiat Day\LA teamed up with MLB legend Randy Johnson to make a "Bird Ballpark."
