Asking the AI to play a "News Brief" prompts Gemini to analyze stories and YouTube video headlines online, organizing the data to create a concise onscreen summary.
The tech giant is aiming to release the feature by the end of this year.
Google also recently announced plans to launch an "AI mode" for its search feature, making conversational AI an essential part of the core search experience.
Samsung Won't Be Left Behind
Meanwhile, Samsung, another major player in the space, aims to integrate AI in all of its products, including its smart fridges and extensive TV range.
Its Vision AI can analyze what's on TV at any given moment, letting viewers "click to search" in any situation.
According to the company, the AI can even generate recipes based on dishes in movies or TV shows.

On-device processing will enable it to adapt to user preferences and other environmental factors.
Currently, Samsung's Bixby voice assistant serves as a remote for adjusting the volume, changing channels, and looking up content. Microsoft Copilot integration will come later this year.
Samsung recently launched a campaign with BBH USA to promote its latest innovations with Galaxy AI.
