KFC just launched a hilarious campaign introducing an exciting new offering, "Braveheart" style.
Made together with independent ad agency Highdive, the "Chicken Tenders Battle" is marked by a hero spot that takes a bat at the ongoing competition between fast-food rivals.
While the "chicken sandwich wars" may be over, the fast-food giant is embarking on a new battle to be hailed the best chicken tenders among its competition.

The new campaign also celebrates KFC's new "Original Recipe Tenders," which uses the restaurant's iconic herb and spice blend before it's double hand-breaded and fried to perfection.
Additionally, the new tenders will come with a bang-for-the-buck deal.
For only $5, KFC fans can get the "Original Recipe Tenders Box," which comes with three KFC Original Recipe Tenders, Secret Recipe Fries, and two of the three signature sauces, which include:
- Comeback Sauce
- Sticky Chicky
- KFC Sauce
In a press release, KFC U.S. CMO Catherine Tan-Gillespie shared her thoughts about the new offering:
Tan-Gillespie added that with a $5 deal, the brand is confident it will "win the chicken tender battle."
Apart from a hilarious spot and a steal deal, the new campaign also introduces the new dessert offering "Cherry Pie Poppers," which is a pastry with a warm cherry pie filling inside a flaky crust.
Over-the-top ads have always been ingrained in the KFC DNA, always bringing in the laughs together with exciting new offerings.
This latest campaign with Highdive is no different, staking its position as a force to be reckoned with in the fast-food industry with a sound brand marketing strategy.
For Kentucky!
The hero spot kickstarts with the protagonist delivering a motivational speech to the "sons and daughters of Kentucky."
"You have fought heroically in the Chicken Sandwich Wars," he tells them with a thick Scottish brogue, a parody of the iconic war speech made by Mel Gibson's character in the classic film "Braveheart."
We then see the damage and casualties the war has done to the people of Kentucky — pierced with a spork in battle, struggling to take orders, and blowing straws at the enemy.
"Alas that fight is over. But with KFC's new Original Recipe Tenders... the Chicken Tender Battle has just begun," the chief says, as viewers get a mouthwatering shot of the new menu offering.
The man ends his speech by dedicating their next fight to Kentucky... and the tenders.
People then march across an open field with KFC buckets, drumsticks, and tongs, ready to embark on their next battle, closing the commercial.
Last month, KFC and agency Courage launched a new campaign that shows the POV from inside their world-famous chicken buckets.
