Fast-food giant McDonald's tapped Pokémon for an exciting collaboration that's sure to please fans.
Unveiled last Tuesday, the initiative sees Pokémon-themed Happy Meal boxes, playfully decorated with some of the franchise's most recognizable characters, including:
- Rayquaza
- Paradox Salamence
- Dragonite & Pikachu
- Charizard

Inside the Happy Meal are McDonald's iconic offerings, however, fans will also be pleased to find special sticker activity sheets and 4-card Pokémon TCG boosters with a guaranteed holographic card.
Cards that fans can find in their special TCG boosters include old card reprints of Charizard, Koraidon, Drampa, and Hydreigon, to name a few.
Additionally, fans who purchase a Happy Meal will be able to unlock special Pokémon TCG Pocket rewards, such as 24-pack hourglasses and 12 wonder hourglasses that they can obtain via the McDonald's rewards app.

The special Happy Meal went live last January 21 and will run through late February 2025.
The marketing strategy of the two brands aims to promote the Japanese media franchise's Trading Card Game and TCG Pocket app.
Here, users can collect digital cards daily and fight with other trainers using decks they can make from their own collections.
Sinnoh Fans, Be Ready
Amid the McDonald's collab, users have speculated a huge update involving Sinnoh region Pokémon landing in the digital card game TCG Pocket.
Known leaker @CentroLeaks has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to announce an upcoming expansion that will focus on Generation 4 Pokémon, including Lucario, Garchomp, and more.

According to the user, the drop is set to be a full expansion and not just a Booster Pack like the game's previous set Mythical Island.
The Gen 4-themed expansion will allegedly drop next week, and amid the franchise's ongoing collab with McDonald's, will expectedly bring hype to the new game and fans of the Sinnoh region.
Recently, McDonald's teamed up with popular Japanese anime Neon Genesis Evangelion to launch limited-edition offerings in Japan.
