Global retail giant M&S just launched a new campaign to promote its Christmas Clothing & Home offerings in time for the holidays.
Made together with independent creative agency Mother, the new efforts harp on the transformative power this season has on us, instantly sparking joy as the holiday vibes kick in.
The campaign is marked by a 90-second short film that follows a young girl, played by "Britain's Got Talent" Season 15 participant Skylar Blu, who uses the magical powers of a snow globe to bring on the festive spirit in her household.

Through striking and playful imagery, the retail giant hopes to make the days leading up to Christmas feel as wonderful as the day itself.
Braithwaite added that the efforts aim to showcase the "very best of M&S, with exceptional quality, stylish clothing and innovative, thoughtful, and playful gifts — all at a great value.”
Emmy-nominated director Elliot Power, who worked on the film, also shared that the infectious power of kids' holiday excitement takes adults back to their childhood days, and that's why they chose the commercial to be "a festive flight of fancy through a child’s eyes."
Days before the most recent film, the retail giant kickstarted its festive marketing with a spot featuring British actress and comedian Dawn French, this time promoting M&S Christmas Food.
Whimsical as it is funny, it remains consistent with M&S' unique brand identity.
With charming and wildly imaginative films, the latest from M&S hopes not only to generate emotional engagement by capturing the hearts of its audience but also to remind them that it's a one-stop shop for your Christmas needs this season.
A Christmas Miracle
Set to the tune of "I Believe in Miracles" by the Jackson Sisters, the commercial follows the day of a young girl who, out of boredom, starts to play with the snow globe on her shelf.
Tilting the globe causes the entire room to tilt as well, with her dog and gifts under the Christmas tree sliding onto one side.
Amazed by its powers, Blu then starts to play and dance around with the globe: shaking it causes Christmas ornaments to fall down the staircase while spinning it leads a loved one to come out of the room in sparkly Christmas attire.

Beautiful chaos ensues in the living room and dinner table, with guests dancing and sliding around like a well-choreographed dance number.
The spot ends with everyone suspended in midair, before revealing that the entire room was actually within the house inside the snow globe.
"Christmas Starts Here," the screen writes, as the advert concludes.
Recently, Amazon also launched its Christmas campaign, inspired by acts of kindness.
