Actor and comedian Will Ferrell stars in PayPal's largest U.S. campaign yet, bringing his signature humor to a new ad soundtracked by Fleetwood Mac's iconic hit "Everywhere."
Launched yesterday during the first NFL game of the season, "PayPal Everywhere" is a commercial that highlights the many perks of using PayPal Debit Mastercard, including 5% cash back earned as points.
Creative was handled by agency BBH, supported by R/GA on digital, GroupM on media, Razorfish on social media, and Edelman on PR.

In a press release, the Paypal commercial actor described the partnership as a delightful way to help customers earn cashback, everywhere.
PayPal CMO Geoff Seeley also discussed the campaign's aim of highlighting PayPal's presence everywhere, as the brand moves towards creating an easier, safer, and more rewarding way to shop.
The collaboration was initially teased in a video posted last week, which placed Ferrell on a porch hilariously filled with way too many wind chimes.
Reaching over 10 million views in just five days, the teaser may have foreshadowed the success of the campaign.
"PayPal Everywhere" will also debut a major visual rebrand, alongside additional marketing materials across OOH, digital, streaming, radio, podcast reads, and an influencer component on social and will run throughout the rest of 2024.
Ferrell, one of the most popular comedians of all time, brings a combination of humor and star power to a campaign seemingly destined for success.
Viral marketing campaigns that utilize big stars have a higher chance of increasing interest and spreading awareness.
'I Wanna Pay With You Everywhere'
The spot begins in a grocery store, with Ferrell popping out from behind a fern to ask a random fan about paying with PayPal.
After discovering that PayPal can now be used in stores with a big cashback, he begins to hallucinate, imagining the beautiful sounds of Fleetwood Mac.
Singing and dancing across different scenarios, he learns more about PayPal's unbelievable savings in multiple categories.

His shopping takes him literally "everywhere," from a high fashion boutique to a kid's lemonade stand.
The spot ends with the comedian back at the grocery store, in joyous celebration of his massive savings by using PayPal.
Earlier in May, the payment platform made headlines for creating a new initiative that utilizes personal data to generate targeted ads.
