Taco Bell Teams Up With Jason Sudeikis in New Spot

Taco Bell has teamed up with American actor Jason Sudeikis in a new spot that dispels a surprisingly common belief among fans of the fast-food chain — that its tacos are only good during late nights.

In a newly posted Instagram Reel, Sudeikis goes through a couple of posts from users sharing why they don't eat Taco Bell during the daytime, as the chain's new Cantina offerings are placed in front of him on display.

User @annabetweetin notes, "the feeling I suppress the most in my life is when I start to crave Taco Bell in the daylight."

Sudeikis then questions this sentiment and responds with, "Why would you suppress the best parts of yourself? Share them with your tummy." 

Meanwhile, another post from @bourtneycryson expressed that eating Taco Bell with the sun still out is a "cry for help."

The Ted Lasso star then begins to cry mockingly, before hilariously stating that he would then cry "happy tears," before the video abruptly ends.

'Not Just Late Night'

The Instagram spot follows a series of commercials starring Sudeikis convincing late-night Taco Bell enjoyers that it can "hit" during the daytime with the new Cantina Chicken menu. 

In the 30-second ad, Howie (@nothowie) tries the new offerings at 1:52 p.m. The 48-year-old actor then eagerly interrogates the man, asking him, "the food hits, right?"

He then proceeds to show Howie his post on a drop-down screen, where he claimed "Taco Bell only really hits after midnight." 

Howie eventually changes his mind, admitting that it does in fact hit. "I can't lie," he adds.

A pause then ensues as the two look at each other awkwardly, before Howie continues to eat, and the ad ends. 

Taco Bell Unveils New Cantina Chicken Offerings

The campaign comes after the global fast-food giant launched its all-new Cantina Chicken menu, made especially to refresh daytime meals. 

The menu will include five new items, including the Cantina Chicken Soft Taco, Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco, Cantina Chicken Burrito, Cantina Chicken Quesadilla and the Cantina Chicken Bowl.

"This Cantina Chicken menu has been a labor of love and we've worked tirelessly to ensure we landed on the best slow-roasted chicken recipe and selected the finest supporting ingredients to maximize craveability," Taco Bell Global Chief Food Innovation Officer Liz Matthews shared in a press release.
