TikTok is showing everyone how goals can develop just by looking up TikTok videos in its latest campaign.
In the 40-second-spot titled "It Starts on TikTok," a dad recalls how his newfound running habit started with neck pain.
After looking up neck stretch and exercise videos in TikTok, he began to take his health more seriously, saying "I could probably do with more than a stretch." This brings him down a rabbit hole of fitness content and creators, trying different exercises and movements.
Together with his son, he then started lifting using DIY weights he made out of recycled cartons, getting the idea from a TikTok creator.
Through his constant search for ideas using the platform, he was inspired to take running more seriously, and together with his son, he began running routinely.
Made by creative agency Lucky Generals, the spot aims to spotlight the many ways users can discover new hobbies, and organically dive into their interests.
“TikTok is a place to be inspired and discover new things," noted Harry Wilson, TikTok UK Head of Marketing. "Every day, our community proves that a dose of inspiration can go a long way."
