Software development company Wezom unveiled its latest project for Cooper&Hunter, a leading producer of home and industrial air conditioners.
Wezom was first tapped by Cooper&Hunter to create a digital infrastructure from scratch. This included developing a cross-platform service application and a corporate website unified by a new backend and admin panel.
The mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, aims to serve both customers and Cooper&Hunter’s technicians. Once the owner of the air conditioner registers their unit on the app, they are then able to chat and communicate directly with Cooper&Hunter technical support.
To do this, the application has a full-fledged separate chat, where you can exchange media files and documents. In addition, a request mechanism is provided that allows a technician to leave a request for system administrators on a specific topic.
From here, technicians can order components based on the customer’s concerns, simplifying the entire repair and maintenance process for both parties.
When it comes to Cooper&Hunter’s website, Wezom sought to implement a “find solution mechanism” that replaces the salesperson-consultant in helping customers find the perfect unit fit to their preference.
How the ‘Find Solution Mechanism’ Works
For the software developer, this mechanism was the most important element of Cooper&Hunter’s digital ecosystem. The feature aims to service two main roles:
- The air conditioner unit owner
- The technician
Once their profiles are set up and their units registered for service, homeowners with Cooper&Hunter units can receive notifications on the status of their air conditioner’s warranty, find helpful FAQs on their air conditioning units, and browse through the company’s vast product catalog.
Meanwhile, technicians need to input their license numbers into the system to ensure that only licensed or certified ones are handling customer needs.
Tying all the platforms together is the common backend and admin panel Wezom developed for Cooper&Hunter, which allows the company to speed up services with greater functionality and traffic. The unified system enables the management team to more easily connect with clients, establishing loyalty between brand and consumer.
With these new tools, Wezom was successful in simplifying the work of technicians and customers in “repairing equipment, ordering spare parts, and communicating with Cooper&Hunter technical support.”
Software development is a long process that involves designing, creating, testing, and maintaining features, applications, and entire systems.
Most companies outsource the task, like how Cooper&Hunter partnered with Wezom, to save time and ensure that experts are in charge of their projects, leading to the best results.
“In just 10 months, we went through the entire cycle of developing a large digital ecosystem — from the stage of searching for ideas to the release of the finished product,” Wezom CEO Serge Guzenko told DesignRush.
An AI-Powered Telephony Platform
As part of the project, Wezom leveraged AI to create a new VolP telephony platform for the client and integrated it into its software ecosystem.
The new AI-powered custom telephony was used specifically to automate several of Cooper&Hunter’s application processes, maximizing efficiency and cohesiveness.
Previously, the company’s managers had to manually write down the serial numbers of equipment from customers that would dictate them from the other line. With the telephony system, this process was simplified and automated across its sales, support, and service departments.
Since the telephony platform’s integration, the number of processed requests has increased by 45%, with clients receiving faster and better service. In the same vein, the simplified and sped-up internal processes have saved managers 27% of their working time.
With the ability to simulate human intelligence, AI is being used across different industries to streamline processes and systems to maximize positive results.
Although many businesses seem to still be conflicted over AI — with some brands experiencing backlash with its integration in creative executions — Wezom harnessing its power for software development is a clear example of its real benefits when utilized correctly.
Overall, the e-commerce ecosystem developed by Wezom has helped Cooper&Hunter not only develop increased loyalty among its clients but also drive its sales volumes.
“At Wezom, we convert complicated solutions into simple ones. Work with Cooper&Hunter is a case in point of our commitment to innovation in custom software development,” Guzenko explained.
“Already integrated into their day-to-day operations, our advanced digital tools pack and solid backend have seriously helped make their work more efficient. We are proud to support Cooper&Hunter in its digital transformation journey,” he concluded.
Custom software development is not done in one go.
It’s done in several stages, all of which vary in time based on size and complexity. However, despite the tedious process, the result is almost always guaranteed to deliver a handful of benefits to the business and its would-be users.
