Alcoholic beverage company BuzzBallz has enlisted the help of American comedian and rapper Zack Fox to star in a series of spots as part of a brand-new summer campaign.
Made together with agency Bacon & Eggs, the creative ads starring Fox show the "farm-to-table" journey of the brand's ready-to-drink bottled cocktails.
Here, the Abbott Elementary star quits his job to head to the fictional BuzzBallz Land, where all the brand's drinks "naturally" grow like fruits.
Bacon & Eggs Founder and Chief Creative Officer Kia Zomorrodi shares the aims of the brand, as well as the new marketing effort.
"At BuzzBallz, the goal isn’t just about creating drinks, it’s about creating experiences that connect with its dedicated fan base. With BuzzBallz land, we really wanted to push the satire and cheekiness of the brand. Partnering with Zack Fox brought the perfect combo of quirky humor and present culture that BuzzBallz fans love," he explained.

The comedic campaign comes at a time when the ready-to-drink market is experiencing growth, leading the brand to harp on its advancement with an attention-grabbing campaign.
BuzzBallz Director of Marketing Tia Wines reiterates this sentiment, saying the brand remains "fiercely dedicated to maintaining our commitment to fun and whimsy" — which is exactly what the new initiative "brings to the fore."
The latest from brand and agency is a great example of celebrity and influencer marketing, utilizing personalities in pop culture to better capture the attention of and resonate with audiences, leading to higher conversion rates.
Beyond the promotion of products, influencer marketing also entails making authentic and engaging content that aligns with the brand's values and voice, as well as the influencer's personal brand.
BuzzBallz's decision to partner with Fox positions the brand as a lighthearted and comedic player in the alcoholic beverage market, giving the brand a distinct voice, and making it a standout against key competitors.
Straight from BuzzBallz Land
The 30-second spot "Rap" kickstarts with Fox introducing himself as the "Head Honcho of BuzzBallz Land," doing his responsibilities by spraying round-shaped BuzzBallz bottles from the vine.
The comedian then goes on to share the secret to making the premixed cocktails as bold and delicious they are: playing music for them.
He then stands in front of a mic and starts rapping in the middle of the farm, with lyrics like, "What you want baby, I'm the BuzzBallz man, making them bands with the ball-shaped cans."
As soon as he stops rapping, the bottles fall from the trees to his co-farmer's surprise.
Another spot, titled "Hot Tub," sees Fox explaining why he "dropped everything" to work for BuzzBallz Land, and the answer is simple: an endless supply of BuzzBallz premixed cocktails.
He then introduces its wide variety of flavors, including Strawberry 'Rita, Peach Ballz, Chili Mango, and more.
The "Dummy" rapper then pours a can of Lotta Colata into a hot tub, as he goes for a dip in the hot tub.
The last one, "Tour" sees Fox telling the viewers why he's referred to as "Mac Daddy Buzz" in BuzzBallz Land.
It's because he makes each cocktail as "bold and delicious as you've come to enjoy."
He then tours the audience to the origins of each cocktail: PeachBallz from the BuzzBallz tree, Strawberry 'Ritas from the ground, and Chili Mangos from the tents because they require a more "intimate process."
Contrary to BuzzBallz's influencer marketing route, LA-based vodka brand "Not Celebrity" has opted to cast regular people in its first-ever brand campaign.
