Phew, has it been a week for Apple! Hot on the heels of their deal with Shazam, the tech company announced that their latest computer -- the iMac Pro -- will be available to pre-order tomorrow.
The newest addition to Apple's ever-growing tech collection is marketed particularly to professional creatives (making it ultra-appealing for all of us over at DesignRush...). In fact, this product has 18 core processors, and the most graphics and biggest memory of any laptop or computer from Apple to date. The 27-inch Retina display is perfect for design pros who want to create state-of-the-art graphics, virtual reality, high-end websites and more.
The most impressive aspect for designers is the brand-new graphics chip, which Apple created specifically for this product. The Radeon Pro Vega is three times faster than other iMac GPUs, and will allow users to create "real-time 3D rendering, more lifelike special effects, and gameplay at max settings" while seeing wider graphics and higher frame rates, according to Apple.
What's better? The iMac Pro has 80 percent more cooling, which means you can work longer and produce better results without needing a reboot (or a quick nap for your previous workstation).
Unfortunately, it'll cost ya. The iMac Pro starts at a whopping $4,999. Check out all of its features (or place an order, starting Thursday, Dec. 14).
