Been doing business with Gary Skop and AFS for over 40 years, we recently had an audit and had asked for his help in the matter. My wife has had several conversations with Gary and he was incredibly rude! Our family has had health issues that has made life difficult this past year. When you are in the customer service business and don’t know how to talk to people you should get out or allow someone who does to handle your calls and remain behind the curtain! Unbelievable! "

Gary and Kevin are so helpful every year! We've been coming to them for a few years now to do our taxes and every year they give us the best options and are always helpful even months later. I needed some tax help halfway through the year and Kevin has been there every step of the way to make sure I have the correct info. Wow.... Worst customer experience ever. If I could have rated him negative stars I would have. Had Gary do ours back in 2020 and it was not a pleasant experience. (Gary seems to be a common link in bad reviews after reading them) He is condescending and when you ask questions he gets even worse. I am sure many people ask questions and should since no one wants tax problems and everyone wants to pay as little as possible.Well fast forward to last week. My wife had to go in without me as I had to be out of town. Like last year we was short, snotty and condescending to my wife. She brought up since we owed taxes could we contribute more to our HAS to lower our tax bill. He replied no and my wife pushed said she was pretty sure we could. He reluctantly looked it up and she was right. I assume he was too lazy to renter 4 digits or his little man's disease got in the way and he didn't want to admit a women was right. We needed some more documents and when we rescheduled we asked for Lynn and an appointment was made. We showed up and our appointment was canceled.My wife went in to see if we could reschedule and Gary came out and yelled at her, told her she was rude and that no one at the office would be doing our taxes. To say that this guy is incompetent, zero people skills and lacks any professional bones in his body is a gross understatement.Lastly I bought Turbo Tax and did it myself and saved almost $500. He is just plain awful!Beware never ever use Gary at this place. "
