I would not feel comfortable recommending this tax firm to friends or family. Several of our family members were also clients, but have since chosen to leave following recent changes in the consulting team.After our long-term consultant—whom we had worked with for over eight years—was no longer with the firm, I raised my concerns with CEO Mark Burch. Unfortunately, I found his response dismissive and lacking in consideration for our longstanding relationship with the firm. Rather than addressing our concerns, he informed us that pricing would increase across the board and suggested we explore other firms that might better suit our needs, particularly with experience in agricultural or "farm" tax matters.Our fee increased by approximately 50% compared to the previous year, which we found excessive and unjustified. Overall, the experience left us feeling undervalued and disappointed. "

Burch and Associates have prepared our taxes for over 40 years. In 1984 I met the founder, Daryl Burch, of Burch and Associates in a basement office in Lincoln NE. He was an outstanding accountant, and even better advisor. He provided life changing guidance to our family. After he passed away in 2019, His son Mark took over the reins, right where his father left off.We continue to have excellent service and advise from Mark and he has continued to build an outstanding service with true professionals, that are customer friendly, detailed oriented, honest, responsive, and demonstrate the "spirit" of Daryl every interaction.
