Wilson Pateras

I ended up being sold to Wilson Pateras without any knowledge until the sale was done by my independent accountant. They’re professionalism is non existent, they make errors and cannot justify the problem without charging absolutely high charges. My costs went up 140 + % on last time due to disagreeing with them when I have to substantiate there correct.Still awaiting responses to my dispute and a return call from the practice owner to sort out.Ready to go to ACA. "

I have left Wilson Pateras due in my opinion to their appalling behavior. After paying a lot of money for a relatively straight forward company tax return, it took them nearly 6 months to send me a draft! In the end I was forced to go to another accountant to start the return from scratch. Worst part of it is they think they are entitled to the full cost of the return when I had to go elsewhere. You try to complain to a Director and they don’t respond – The icing on the cake is them referring the matter to a debt collector - Appalling. "

Have just left them and after giving them the benefit of doubt over many years, still can't believe how arrogant they have become and how little they care about their customers. Be very careful with what they present with regard to assessments and lodgements as we have caught them out with oversights and really poor advice. In the end we could only see that their performance was a combination of both negligence and incompetence, not what you seek and pay for in an accountancy firm, and most importantly you trust to look after anything related to dealing with the ATO! Not sure, is it even possible to give them no stars for a review?!! "

Wilson Pateras brands itself as a boutique company, and it really is just that - a boutique company more interested in its own brand image. The whole company becomes a self-serving machine, not focused on clients. We've experienced no returned or acknowledged emails or follow up calls several times. Several administrative services are out sourced to their third party subcontractors, and you always get the feeling that everyone is just too busy. They have a very annoying automated email system of contacting you for either unrelated topics, making you feel their service is impersonal, and/or chasing you for payments not yet due. Oh, and their payment terms are 7 days. We paid inflated service fees: principal Mark even said our invoice was high at over $4k for a simple SMSF fund, only to backtrack when his office manager told us that it took her a very long time to input our data into THEIR new system ! How is it fair that we end up paying for her time to input data into their new internal system? We are so glad we left. Now we experience truly amazing, personal service, and at a more fair and reasonable market price, and nearly half the cost of Wilson Pateras. So buyer beware ! "
