The Alpha Staff Company is a complete fraud. My maid was being serviced by them. There is a maid named Stella. The maid provided terrible and fraudulent service. Even after payment is made, she does not answer the phone. The company is untrustworthy. Don’t pay them for services. "

Very respectful and knowledgeable. My second meeting was with two directors. The first was visibly displeased with me from the moment she logged onto the videoconference. The second logged on late and seemed lost. The first interviewer kept getting annoyed with me and the other interviewer and then proceeded to cut me off mid sentence to abruptly end the meeting. This is how their senior leadership comports itself? I was shocked when they called me back for an in-person meeting.2nd Red Flag - The in-person interviewer asked me how I was able to locate one of their systems since "not many ppl know about it". It was then when I realized AlphaStaff was probably in much need of some systems and management updating. Most HRM consultants I know use this system. It can be found through a simple Google search.3rd Red Flag - When I asked a high level recruitment manager whether they were going to run a credit check on me, he said "that's illegal". This is someone who is SPHR certified.4th Red Flag - They pulled a bait and switch on me by offering me a lower level entry position at 9.09% less than my asking price and at roughly 12% less than industry means.5th Red Flag - I had the great misfortune of being changed to report to the disrespectful interviewer who had abruptly ended the videoconference. This person then proceeded to call me to give me an unconvincing and rather insulting explanation of why she had put me into a lower position (while doing the same work and servicing the same clients) for less money with "so many opportunities for eventual growth".6th Red Flag - They contacted my previous employer on four separate occasions to verify my employment. My previous employer was gracious enough to take time out of his busy workday to answer each time only for them to say they couldn't verify my employment.7th Red Flag - They contacted someone outside of my list of references who had at one point been both of our clients and hurt my chances of potentially working with them again in the future.8th Red Flag - They use a rudimentary background check company with an unresponsive, offshore workforce lacking in American orthoepy.9th Red Flag - I was asked my date of birth and social security number before they had determined whether or not they would onboard me. They wanted to know my age before making a determination.10th Red Flag - They delivered computer equipment to my home which required my personal signature and DOB without notifying me in advance. I just happened to be home.11th Red Flag - The background check was set up to contact the AlphaStaff rep who had submitted the background check order, instead of me, if they needed additional information. The AlphaStaff coordinator then told me over the phone that the background check company had made several attempts to contact me. They hadn't.12th Red Flag - They copied me on a group IT Onboarding email before determining whether I'd even be onboarded and (to add insult to injury) included my personal email address for all attendees to see without my prior consent.13th Red Flag - They have yet to email me a shipping label to return their computer equipment.If this is the way they onboard internal employees I cannot even begin to imagine how they onboard clients. I can't believe I ever sang their praises. I even defended them in front of our mutual former client.AlphaStaff should be embarrassed. I now understand why my colleagues spoke so poorly of them. I am grateful I dodged this proverbial bullet. "

Alphastaff was completely negligent on managing my NY State Paid Family Leave, and refused to take any meaningful responsibility whatsoever. When I took NY States Paid Family Leave for the birth of my son, Alphastaff informed me that New Yorks Paid Family Leave runs concurrently with the United States Family and Medical Leave Act, so I took leave for 2 weeks. 3 of those days were prior to my sons birth, so I could be with my wife in the hospital. The leave was approved. Upon my return to work, Alphastaff only paid me for 11 days instead of 14, stating that family leave is only paid after the child is born. This contradicts the fact that they told me that paid family leave runs concurrently with FMLA, and there was nothing on any of the forms they provided me stating that it is only paid after the child is born. Alphastaff acknowledged that this was their fault, but they refuse to compensate me for the 3 days of pay that I am now missing due to their negligence. There were also many other issues that occurred during my case. Alphastaff continuously provided me with the wrong documents to submit, forgot to submit documents, and for a long time ignored my emails requesting that my case be escalated and that I demanded to speak to management. Their employee Natalia Norena was the definition of incompetence. She was the one who kept submitting and providing me with the incorrect documents. I have no idea how someone like this remains employed. This all led to me getting my the 11 days pay that I did receive over a month after went on leave.Their team is completely incompetent and refused to take any real responsibilities for their negligence. Avoid at all costs, find another HR PEO for your company. "
