Promised as a manual transscription (high german) I got an only partially okay result. I had to review and to correct the received document...spent many hours....really less than expected! "

Nice service at a reasonable price. It should be noted that one has to book two consecutive months at least. They clearly state this on their website though, so I don't understand the complaints by other reviewers here.I would definitely recommend Amberscript for transcribing interviews. English and German worked quite well for me, although one should keep in mind that certain terminologies and/or technical terms will not be detected properly, meaning that for special language content, substantial rework may be needed. However, for my purposes it worked incredibly well and continues to be a huge time saver.For the service to function best, high quality audio is essential. This is best achieved by using semi-pro audio equipment, like a Zoom H4n. Laptop and phone microphones may generate distortion and have a limited frequency range, so avoid these if possible.It does a very good job with mp3 and other compressed file formats, but I too recommend uncompressed material, as digital compression artifacts can cause the neural network to misinterpret words.The service also puts up an astonishing fight against background noises like AC fans and street traffic. Still, avoiding such acoustical challenges is recommended, if applicable.I did run into an issue just recently. I started with the free trial and it really delivered. I have used other free trials from other companies but they are nowhere near as accurate or user friendly as Amberscript. I'm using them to create subtitles to video courses and they save me a lot of time and hassle. I particularly like the ability to sign up for a set amount of transcription time, rather than a monthly payment for someone like me who works more on a project by project basis. Highly recommend. "

I just used Amberscript to transcribed Words of Encouragement spoken over my life back in 2013. It converted a Voice Recorder file to text very accurately. There were more than a 500 words transcribed and I believe it only missed 3 or 4. That is pretty impressive. I'd definitely use this program again. "

I had some issues with uploading (several times) and with the payment functionality - had to switch to a card from a different bank to make it work.The transcription is mostly as expected - it has a difficult time identifying when English words are used in an otherwise Danish conversation (which happens quite often - especially in professional or educational settings. Otherwise it was great though.The interface is great and very functional for editing the transcription and adding highlights - very useful. "
