FBC very professional , convenient, and accurate.. Our guy Surrender been very helpful in addressing all our needs and if unsure, he has a team of consultants a phone call away, to verify any questions we had .. "

Atrocious service. Your tax advisor is extremely difficult to get ahold of, and nobody has answers. Everything is disorganized, their communication is awful and it took over a month of my wife and I harassing them to send us consent forms for them to file our taxes. Our proactivity was counterbalanced by their inefficiency and ineptitude, resulting in a very late tax return payment. We hated every minute of it. FBC’s services are rather expensive as well, leaving us feeling totally ripped off. "

We have had Surinder Grewal coming to our home for several years now. We no longer stress out about tax calls as we have become so comfortable with Surinder that it’s almost like he’s family. Yet he is very professional and extremely knowledgeable and we have complete confidence and trust in his work. We would highly recommend Surinder to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy accountant. You will not be disappointed. "

Thank you, Grayson Ogle, for managing our 2023 tax returns. He was polite and knowledgeable. 1997, we started with FBC when we had a small business. We appreciated the at-home service. They helped us navigate capital gains and property sale when we moved to Cochrane in 2016. We appreciate the assurance that we have their support should we be audited. Our filing is much simpler now but we continue to use the services of FBC as their friendly, informative staff are very respectful and efficient, and have a whole team of professionals behind them for any issues we may have. This year's representative, Grayson, has lived up to those standards very well. Thank you. "

Helpful clerical staff but reps are indifferent at best and their top priority is to cover their tracks and point fingers to escape accountability. They'll say things like 'The Office sent that out.', to avoid responsibility. Of course 'The Office' is nobody in particular and anybody other than the person you're dealing with, which is a standard bureaucratic tactic to leave you hanging. They'll promise you top of the line advice and guidance then not deliver, and when you cry foul they'll actually tell you that you should know what to do because it's not the first time you've filed taxes. Seriously. They'll give you a fee for a 'year' in mid-summer then when you've paid it they tell you it's only for your current tax year. If that's two or three months away well that's your problem.Their slogan is "We make life less taxing. " and they'll tell you they will represent you free of charge if you're audited. When you've paid your fee they'll tell you they're going to take a conservative approach to your return because they don't want to attract attention from Revenue Canada. They'll complete your tax return without asking you any questions. Then when you ask what's going on they'll say they just made some assumptions. How many and for how much and for what, who knows? You can't get any information out of them about this stuff, or anything else, unless you ask direct questions about it and they won't volunteer anything that might help you. Imagine if you were represented in court by a lawyer that operated on that basis. There's a reason they want your money up front. Think about that. Think about it very carefully. "
