I was referred by a friend, who is also one of their clients, and I don't think a day goes by that I don't thank them for introducing me to Ryan and Rachael.My first meeting was in person, at my place of business, and right away I knew that I wanted to work with them. They were both so sincere, and at no point did they try to "sell" me on their company, rather they presented their ideas and let me decide how I wanted to proceed. I very much appreciated this genuine and personal approach, which - as I would learn - underlies everything they do.As a new business owner, this is all new territory for me, and I warned them upfront that I would be "that sort of client" (asking lots of questions, needing a bit of hand-holding every now and then) and they have continually proven to be up for the task!My favourite part of this ongoing process has definitely been the Brand Discovery. I don't know if this is standard in the industry, but they sat down with me for a 3-hour chat session where we delved into topics like who I am as a person, and what compelled me to start this business, etc. It really made me think about my goals and my reasons for doing what I'm doing, something I hadn't done at that level of detail before. And then they put these thoughts all together into a "story" of me that actually brought tears to my eyes. Their ability to draw out the intricate details of a person's intentions and motivations is uncanny, and I'm so glad to have gone through this exercise, I think every new business owner would benefit from this working-out process, regardless of where they are in their entrepreneurial journey.One result of this discovery was a collection of texts outlining not only my story, but my core visions and values, as well as a "mission statement" for my business. I have found these texts to be invaluable for keeping on point with decisions and planning, knowing that I have a clear sense of what I want to achieve. Having this as a foundation makes it so much easier for everything else to fit into place. They also created colour palettes for me to choose from, and font styles and layout options based on what had been devined from our discovery, all of which were beautifully crafted and full of creative energy.We are now at the stage where we're working with graphics and images that they have created specifically for my business, and I absolutely LOVE the work that they done in this regard! They have taken all of my intentions into consideration, and created beautiful artwork that is perfectly suited to my new-found business image. I'm already able to work with these graphics, even as my website is still underway, which helps me to keep forward momentum with regards to the new branding of my business as we're continuing our work together.One thing I especially appreciate about Ryan and Rachael is the way they bring their individual talents to the table in a collaborative way. They each have unique skills, and they work so well together, bouncing ideas off each other, always including me in their work process. They are exceedingly professional in their business dealings, from e-mail correspondences to scheduling and invoicing, every step is ordered and organized, no hidden surprises. We asked Steady Studio to create a unique design for the label of a custom brew. Our primary objective was to have a design that was reflective of our commercial area and stood out from other similar products.The design project needed to be in keeping with our organization's branding; utilize our brand colours, logo and fonts. Additionally, the design needed to include a rendering of a new symbolic landmark in our area, and celebrate its installation.Ryan and his partner, Rachael, at Steady Studio excelled with their communication throughout the project. From the beginning they asked clear and concise questions to ensure that they understood exactly what our vision for the design was.
