TeraCode maintains three development centers. Two centers are in Argentina. The primary center is in the capital city of Buenos Aires. The second facility is in Tandil, approximately three hours south of Buenos Aires. Argentina provides a very well-educated, well-rounded, European-like workforce. It has a history and culture based on large immigration waves from Spain, Italy, and Germany, which has imprinted a western educational philosophy on its culture, resulting in software development, engineering, and support resources that are very aligned with US and Europe.
TeraCode was founded in 2006 to provide software development and near-shore staffing services to companies in North America and Western Europe. The company was founded on the premise that highly skilled programmers in close to the same time zone as the clients they were working for would result in higher efficiency, more productivity, and lower costs.
TeraCode's core philosophy was to provide boutique-level services to its clients. This means a high degree of attention to detail, full integration of the team, excellent retention rates of employees (to preserve the clients' institutional knowledge), and achieving a level of partnership with our clients that leads to improved outcomes.
TeraCode has been successfully providing these services for over 100 clients and currently has a global team of over 300. TeraCodes retention rate is over 90% during the past 7 years, the average age of our programmers is 31 years of age (suggesting at least 5-7 years average experience post-college), and we have long-standing relationships with our clients, some over a decade.
