- Project Brief: Design a UAV mission control platform that unifies launch readiness, diagnostics, fleet tracking, manual control, and satellite links into one operational ecosystem.
An aviation dashboard for live drone missions gives operators only a few seconds to read the fleet and decide. Drone Forge: UAV Mission Control Platform, designed by Fuselab Creative, puts five connected systems into one scan-first interface built for those seconds.
Drone Forge runs mission-critical drone operations worldwide from its base in Australia. Most drone programs split weather, telemetry, fleet status, and link data across separate vendor tools.
Fuselab Creative built the platform around one rule: telemetry earns attention only when a decision is due. Mid-mission, operators scan each screen for what changed.
Launch readiness opens the flow. The Meteo Ground Station turns wind, visibility, and humidity into one flight readiness figure and a go or hold call, with a launch window countdown beside it.
Airframe diagnostics take over once the drone is airborne. A live schematic of the fixed-wing aircraft sits at the center, ringed by readiness, endurance, propulsion efficiency, and payload data.
The fleet operations map places every active drone over live terrain with its patrol area and waypoints. A side panel tracks the fleet as airborne, standby, returning, or offline, next to sector occupancy, mission phase, and the event log.
Direct command covers the moments that need a human pilot. View Feed, Command, and Take Control buttons let operators take over any unit in seconds.
The satellite link topology maps the full command chain in one diagram. The drone, the SAT-DF-01 geostationary relay, the command center, and the ground station connect through separate primary and fallback routes.
Results & Impact
Drone Forge's platform covers the full mission in one product, from the launch call to recovery. Handoffs between separate systems drop out of the operator's day.
- Five systems, one product: Launch, diagnostics, fleet, command, and satellite links share a single interface
- Clear launch calls: Weather data resolves into one go or hold decision
- Fast manual override: Any unit can switch to manual control in seconds
- Visible link paths: Primary and fallback routes show where command, telemetry, and video travel
