Migraine Buddy is an app designed to help migraine sufferers document, track, and understand their symptoms, triggers, and best relief options either for their own understanding or to share with a medical provider.
The app’s main functional is to allow users to input reports of their migraine attacks. The app takes the user through a step by step process of tracking their attack, and covers in extensive detail nearly every possible symptom, trigger, and any other relevant factor you can think of. Adding an attack is incredibly easy due to the iconographic menu options provided by the app. There’s no typing whatsoever, so adding an attack is merely a matter of tapping through a set of pre-populated options.
Once the user has begun tracking their migraine attacks, the app can begin to generate reports. These reports can help the user begin to identify trends, such as how long their attacks usually last, when they most often occur, which triggers are commonly associated with them, and which times of the day they are most often afflicted. Users can use this information to try to manage their migraines on their own, or share it with a physician in order to develop a treatment plan.
The app has a dark aesthetic that is both stylish and soothing, and probably especially appreciated by users who are logging an attack as it’s happening. The flat iconography and illustrations used in the design give the app a modern and slick appeal.
