Stacked Wine is game-changing for on-the-go wine lovers. Designed by R&D/Leverage, this packaging does away from what traditional wine bottle formats look like and introduces a stackable, single-serve concept. Each set includes four pre-portioned cups of wine, snapping together to form a sleek, modern silhouette. This design doesn’t just rethink how wine is packaged — it even reimagines how it’s consumed, offering a portable, no-glass-required solution for picnics, concerts, and outdoor gatherings.
Stacked Wine resembles a curved, sculptural tower, with each segment housing a single serving of wine. The rounded shape feels playful, making it as much of a conversation piece as it is a practical solution.
Each stack is wrapped in a color-coded matte sleeve, with mustard yellow for Chardonnay, deep purple for Merlot, and soft cream for Pinot Grigio. This keeps the packaging elegant and easy to identify, while the soft finish makes it more refined.
The wine’s name is printed in bold, block letters with a subtle shadow effect, creating an almost three-dimensional look that seems to jump off the packaging. The font choice is clean and easy to read, balancing the modern aesthetic with a sense of fun and approachability.
Just below the name, a small illustration of a wine glass is accompanied by the phrase "wine in a glass of its own" in a delicate cursive font. At the top of each stack, a beautifully detailed grapevine etching adds a classic, almost handcrafted touch to the design. It’s a subtle nod to traditional winemaking even as it pushes boundaries with its unconventional format.
When it comes to wine, we’re used to a certain ritual: uncorking a bottle, pouring carefully, and sipping from a proper glass. But what if that ritual is actually a barrier? Stacked Wine eliminates the hassle, offering a grab-and-go solution that challenges our assumptions about how wine should be enjoyed.
Whether you’re at a picnic, concert, or just don’t feel like dealing with a corkscrew, this design makes wine easier to enjoy without losing its charm. If you're looking for one of the most innovative wine packaging designs, this one raises the bar.
