- Project Brief: Create a beauty commercial that introduces Kristen Bell as L'Oréal Paris' Global Brand Ambassador through candid storytelling, energetic editing, and clean visuals.
A commercial rolling out a new brand ambassador typically trots the star through a bunch of pretty hero shots and lets the logo do the talking. L'Oréal Paris just skips all that with "Meet Kristen Bell," handing her the mic to introduce herself in a loose, almost vlog-like ramble before the brand even shows up.
And that casual setup is really what sells it. Instead of red-carpet gloss, it feels like a friend chatting straight at you. Bell reels off that she is a mom, a dog person, a little too competitive, then owns up to being bad at texting back, and suddenly she just feels like someone you know.
The edit keeps right up with her too. Quick, snappy cuts hop between the personal bits and her career wins in a tight 43 seconds, so it never stiffens into your typical celebrity endorsement.
Then the brand slides in late and easy. Soft natural light and a little "so worth it" tie it back to that old "You're Worth It" line, so learning she is the new face feels like the natural end of her story instead of a sales pitch barging in.
