- Project Brief: Create an animated game trailer that introduces Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls – Samurai Outriders through cinematic storytelling, stylized samurai-inspired visuals, and dynamic combat sequences that highlight its action RPG gameplay and cooperative mechanics.
Animation carries this trailer more than the roster does, and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls leans hard into that. The cel-shaded style holds a hand-drawn line over 3D forms, so every character reads like a moving comic panel rather than a rendered model.
The fight choreography sells the weight. Sword clashes land with sharp anticipation and follow-through, and the camera whips in to catch parries and counters instead of sitting back, giving each duel the timing of a beat rather than a button press.
The effects work punches above the base art. Energy slashes streak across the frame in flat, saturated color, and the fire on Ghost Rider flickers with real frame-by-frame variation rather than a looping particle sim.
The presentation pulls from arcade fighters. Character intro cards slam in with bold type and a quick color wipe, borrowing the reveal rhythm of a classic versus screen to punctuate the cuts.
