YORD Studio has been awesome. I got hands-on with projects I'm really into – analytics and SEO. The team's not just on top of things technically, they genuinely care about the success of clients' projects. It's a professional yet supportive environment for learning and making things happen.

I was lucky to have my first internship in YORD as a Content Creator for 5 months. The team and everyone in the office were really supportive and understanding and I got to learn a lot from different departments. I find it great that YORD respects you as an intern and takes into consideration that you also have university work to do. Thanks to that I got to manage both my job there and my university projects. Can definitely recommend YORD as a place to do your internship at.

If I could go back to June 2025, I'd ask more questions.I'm the founder of Sixth Hive, a professional business matchmaking platform designed to be powered by AI. I'm not a software engineer, and when I signed the contract to build it, I didn't have a CTO in-house. I hired, via upwork, an agency I believed had the expertise to do it properly, ChicMic Studios, an India-based firm that publicly positions itself on their own website as specialists across mobile, web, AI, blockchain, IoT, gaming and the metaverse.I signed a USD $73,968 fixed-price contract on 30 June 2025. Pre-contract delivery target: February 2026.Over the following 10 months I paid ChicMic Studios in full. What I received was less clear. In May 2026 I appointed Patrick as Sixth Hive's CTO who through an audit that the social graph was not built. His review of the platform led to an audit meeting at which ChicMic Studios themselves produced an internal report estimating 30 to 35 days of Priority 0 and Priority 1 remediation work still outstanding, covering JWT token storage, CSRF protection, and unit-test coverage. On 15 May 2026 I stopped development.Patrick rebuilt the platform from scratch, using AI-augmented development. It went live in under eight weeks. The AWS infrastructure of the ChicMic-delivered platform was costing us approximately USD $1,500 per month. The rebuilt platform runs at below USD $500.During the handover, ChicMic's project manager asked Dajan how he had used AI in the rebuild.Total direct cost of the engagement to Sixth Hive: approximately USD $85,000, plus the rebuild costs and my own founder time.I've now filed a Non-Circumvention violation report with Upwork Trust & Safety and I'm pursuing a UK Information Commissioner's Office complaint under UK GDPR Article 28.I'm sharing this because other founders considering social platform building or AI-related software engagements deserve to see how these things can actually unfold. Every fact above is documented, the contract, ChicMic Studios' own correspondence, their own May 2026 audit report, AWS billing records, and Upwork records.

I met these guys at the NRA (National Restaurant Association) show last year in Chicago. They seemed like good people at the time and so a few months later we decided to sign up with them to get some additional POS integration work done.In our conversations with their sales team, specifically with Alex Rodriguez, they had made some pretty bold promises. Despite our hesitations, Alex assured us that "they had extensive experience in this space for year and years" and could follow through on these promises.Within a week, we were onboarded to a team in India (not local like they say), and the dev team mentioned that they would not be able to help us with what promised by Alex.... they mentioned this on the first day.I said, well - this is not something we want to do then and so they respied "let us double check with our team and get back to you.. " ... and in the meantime, "we can work on looking at your current tech stack integrations"... I said "ok."Weeks passed, no response. Finally at the month mark, we had our 2nd bill from Chetu and an answer that they could not accomplish what we wanted but they had "improved some of our POS integrations" (whatever that means). I was frustrated and asked Alex the sales rep to stop the service immediately, to which he and the team replied that we had an agreement and that I would be stuck paying $5k for another few months for work I was not interested in getting done... I responded that I would not pay for a service that I did not ask for and that this was a breach of our initial agreement.I brought up our initial conversations and promises that were made when we signed to Alex. He ignored and passed me off to the devs and other members on the team....This company is unprofessional. They overpromise and underdeliver. And to this day, they call me and write me emails weekly asking for additional payments. To this day, I'm still waiting on a response from Alex from sales. What a joke. Steer clear of this company.

I do not recommend - Be careful!!! This company created an application for us for which they promised us full support and care. The application was ultimately made by a high school student who had no experience, which would not have mattered if the application had worked as we agreed. When the student in question left the company after about half a year, the promised support and care also ended... The employees were not even able to provide me with the code and documentation for the application for which we paid a lot of money. This company is a perfect example of how it should not work.

I applied for a job with this company and waited a long time without any response. I tried calling the front reception for an update, but after asking for my name, they simply rejected my application without providing any reason. This feels unprofessional and discouraging for candidates. If applications are going to be rejected without explanation, it’s unclear why job openings are advertised in the first place. Better communication and transparency would really improve the candidate experience wasting time
