I'm not positive this is the same company, but am pretty sure. If I'm not mistaken, Avanade bought Azaleos out, who provided Microsoft Exchange services.I interviewed with Azaleos at one time. Recruiter interview, HR interview, 2 in person hour long interviews, tour of the facilities, follow up call with the tech lead, and an email thanking them. NO CALL BACK, no rejection, nothing. They totally ignored me. DIdn't care. Even my recruiter said Azaleos didn't make any contact.2 years later, Christine Novak the HR manager, reached out and said, "I see you interviewed with us before, we have some job openings, are you interested?" REALLY? You completely blew me off before, and now you want to talk to me again? Eff you.Yes I realize another company has bought them out, and I'm sure most of those people are no longer there, but I looked up Christine Novak's profile, and she is still with them.As a final insult, I went back to Microsoft, and just happened to work with someone who used to work for Azaleos, and he had nothing good to say except he was glad to no longer work there. Horrible company.Maybe you don't care about my experience. That's fine. It was years ago. But I would never work for a company who throws away a candidate after making all those attempts. Horrible, terrible companies. If you like them, then work there.

I love working with Paritosh and his team - together we tackle different areas of the project (we handle copywriting, photography and site map) and they take the design and dev portions. I was referred to UX Design Experts by a great friend after I expressed the need to improve my website. My needs were very specific. The design in mind and functionally was tailored to my industry but most importantly my brand. This was a very quick and clean process.I pitched to them the idea to incorporate a dynamic Avatar to the site to be able to understand my customer needs in more detail. This small project went ABOVE and BEYOND anything I could expect, they took this challenge so personal that even when I was pleased with the results, they kept improving the design. This is my first month post launch, but I already increased my lead generation by 25%, conversion rate by 30%.Thank you again UX Design Experts for everything you have done for Sculptology.

Everything You Need to Know Before Hiring CRM Consultant Firms
What are the benefits of hiring CRM consultants?

Hiring top CRM consulting firms often determines whether your system becomes a revenue engine or an expensive database. CRM complexity has doubled since 2021, and businesses that treat implementation as a technical task instead of a strategic initiative usually underperform.
Here are five measurable benefits of hiring a CRM consultant.
1. Dramatically increased Return on Investment (ROI)
CRM consultants align the CRM with revenue goals, pipeline structure, and automation strategy, not just system configuration. A well-implemented CRM generates an average of $8.71 for every $1 spent, and expert-led projects can reach 245% ROI when built around strategic objectives instead of basic setup.
2. Prevention of costly implementation failures
CRM projects frequently fail due to unclear scope, poor planning, and technical debt. Between 30% and 70% of CRM projects fail to meet objectives without expert oversight. In contrast, businesses that use professional consultants report success rates of 85% or higher within the first year, largely because risks are identified and controlled early.
3. Higher user adoption and productivity
A CRM only delivers value if teams actually use it. Poor adoption is responsible for 43% of CRM project failures. With structured training and workflow optimization, companies can achieve a 34% boost in productivity and a 29% increase in total sales, because the system reflects how sales teams actually work.
4. Improved data integrity and accuracy
Inaccurate data damages forecasting, reporting, and executive decision-making. Poor data quality costs businesses an average of $12.9 million annually, and 44% of companies lose more than 10% of their annual revenue due to unreliable CRM records.
CRM consultants reduce this risk by implementing governance rules, validation processes, and long-term data hygiene standards.
5. Accelerated sales cycles and conversion rates
Consultants optimize the full lead-to-revenue process so automation and AI tools directly impact deals. Effective CRM configuration can shorten sales cycles by 8% to 14% and increase lead conversion rates by up to 300% through stronger segmentation, nurturing, and pipeline visibility.
How do you choose the right consultant?
Choosing the right CRM consulting company requires a structured evaluation. The goal is to confirm strategic thinking, technical depth, and long-term fit before signing a contract. You’ll achieve it by following these steps:
- Define your internal goals
Clarify what you want the CRM to improve: sales visibility, automation, reporting, or scaling. Document your current problems and desired outcomes. Without internal clarity, you cannot properly evaluate any consultant. - Evaluate industry experience
Look for consultants who have worked with companies similar in size and complexity. Ask for examples of projects involving integrations, data migration, and change management. Industry familiarity reduces ramp-up time and risk. - Assess the discovery approach
A serious consultant runs structured workshops before proposing solutions. They should ask detailed questions about your sales process, data structure, and growth plans. If discovery feels rushed, the implementation will likely be misaligned. - Review technical and architectural depth
Confirm who designs system architecture and how customizations are handled. Ask how they balance out-of-the-box functionality with custom builds. Strong consultants prioritize scalability and long-term maintainability. - Understand team structure and roles
Clarify who will actually work on your project. Ensure senior experts are involved beyond the sales phase. Delivery teams should include strategy, configuration, and data specialists when needed. - Analyze change management and training plans
Adoption determines success. Ask how they train teams, manage resistance, and monitor usage after go-live. A consultant who ignores adoption planning increases failure risk. - Review scope, timeline, and risk management
The proposal should clearly define phases, milestones, and deliverables. Confirm how scope changes are handled and how delays are mitigated. Transparency at this stage prevents budget overruns later. - Validate post-implementation support
Going live is not the end. Ask how performance is measured after launch and what ongoing support looks like. A strong partner provides optimization guidance beyond initial deployment.
What red flags to watch out for when hiring a CRM consultant?
Hiring the wrong CRM consultant leads to low adoption, broken automations, wasted budget, and long-term technical debt. Red flags usually appear before the contract is signed, so you need to pay attention early.
Some of the most common red flags include:
- No discovery process
A consultant who jumps straight into demos or pricing without asking deep questions about your sales process, data structure, and goals is not thinking strategically. CRM setup without discovery leads to misalignment and rework. - Overpromising speed or results
Claims like “we can implement everything in two weeks” for a complex business signal unrealistic planning. Serious consultants explain trade-offs between speed, customization, and adoption. - Heavy customization from day one
If the first proposal includes extensive custom builds, that increases cost and future maintenance risk. Strong consultants prioritize out-of-the-box features before adding complexity. - No clear adoption strategy
CRM success depends on user behavior. If training, change management, and internal buy-in are not discussed, adoption will likely fail. - Vague scope and deliverables
Ambiguous timelines, undefined milestones, or unclear ownership create budget overruns. A professional firm defines phases, outputs, and responsibilities clearly. - Junior team structure
Some CRM consulting firms sell with senior experts but deliver with inexperienced staff. Ask who will actually architect and configure your system. - No post-implementation plan
Go-live is not the finish line. If there is no roadmap for optimization, reporting refinement, and ongoing support, long-term performance will suffer. - Weak data governance approach
CRM systems fail when data becomes inconsistent or duplicated. A consultant who does not address data hygiene and governance is ignoring a core risk area.
What are the common risks if you don't hire a consultant?
Not hiring a CRM consultant often leads to hidden costs, slow adoption, and long-term system problems. Most businesses underestimate how complex CRM decisions are until mistakes start affecting revenue.
- Wrong system selection
Choosing a CRM without proper evaluation can lock you into a platform that does not match your sales process, reporting needs, or growth plans. Switching later is expensive, time-consuming, and disruptive because data, workflows, and integrations must be rebuilt. - Poor system architecture
Without expert planning, fields, pipelines, and automations are set up randomly. Over time, the system becomes messy, reporting becomes unreliable, and teams stop trusting the data. - Low user adoption
If the CRM is confusing or does not reflect how teams actually work, employees avoid using it. Sales reps keep notes in spreadsheets, managers lose visibility, and the CRM becomes an expensive database instead of a revenue tool. - Data migration errors
Moving old data without proper cleaning leads to duplicates, missing records, and incorrect reporting. Once corrupted data enters the system, it spreads across dashboards and forecasts. - Over-customization or under-configuration
Some companies overbuild the system and make it complex to maintain. Others leave it too basic and miss automation opportunities. Both scenarios reduce efficiency and increase future costs. - Integration failures
CRM systems must connect with email, marketing tools, ERP, or accounting software. Poor integration planning leads to manual work, inconsistent data, and broken workflows. - Unclear ROI measurement
Without defined success metrics, leadership cannot see whether the CRM improves pipeline health, deal velocity, or customer retention. The system becomes a cost center instead of a growth driver. - Expensive reimplementation later
Many companies eventually hire consultants after internal attempts fail. Fixing a broken CRM often costs more than implementing it correctly from the start.
What questions to ask CRM consulting firms before signing a contract?
Choosing the right CRM consulting firm requires more than reviewing certifications and pricing. The right questions uncover delivery risk, technical depth, and long-term fit before you commit to a contract.
Relevant Background
- What percentage of your projects involve businesses similar to ours in size and complexity?
- Can you show examples of CRM implementations that required multi-system integrations, not just basic setups?
- How many senior consultants versus junior staff will be assigned to our account?
- Have you ever replaced or fixed a failed CRM implementation, and what went wrong in those cases?
Services and Processes
- How do you define scope and prevent over-customisation that increases long-term maintenance costs?
- What is your approach to user adoption and change management beyond technical setup?
- How do you handle data governance, deduplication, and long-term data hygiene?
- What happens if timelines slip or deliverables are missed?
Related to Your Project
- Based on what you know so far, where do you see the biggest risk in our CRM rollout?
- What internal resources will you require from our side to stay on schedule?
- How will success be measured 6 and 12 months after go-live?
- If we scale or pivot our strategy next year, how flexible will this CRM architecture be?

DesignRush sustains a directory of over 40,000 agencies categorized by service category, location, expertise, and reviews. We build our database in two ways:
- Our dedicated team of agency experts actively searches the web for top-performing companies. We then pull information from their websites, online presence, and client testimonials to verify their status and qualifications prior to listing.
- The agencies listed get notified of their profiles on the website and they can choose to claim it or not, which suggests their availability for more collaborations.
Agencies can also reach out to DesignRush and must go through the verification process prior to being listed.
Frequently Asked Questions About CRM Consultants
What does a CRM consultant do?
A CRM consulting agency helps you choose, set up, and optimize your customer relationship management (CRM) system to support sales, marketing, and customer service goals.
CRM consulting firms analyze your processes, define requirements, select the right CRM platform, manage implementation, migrate data, and train your team. Their goal is to turn your CRM into a system that improves visibility, increases efficiency, and drives measurable revenue growth.
When should I hire a CRM consultant?
Hire a CRM consulting firm when your system is slowing down growth or creating confusion instead of clarity. A CRM should support revenue, visibility, and team productivity. If it does not, outside expertise becomes necessary.
You should consider hiring one when:
- You are implementing a new CRM and want to avoid setup mistakes
- Your current CRM is underused or poorly adopted by the team
- Data is disorganized, duplicated, or unreliable
- Reporting does not reflect real sales performance
- You are scaling and need automation, integrations, or better forecasting
How much do CRM consultants’ services cost?
CRM consulting costs range from $135 to $350 per hour, depending on expertise, platform, and project complexity.
Rates by platform:
- Salesforce: $150 to $350/hour. Packages often cost $3,000 to $8,500.
- HubSpot: $150 to $250/hour. Monthly retainers typically range from $2,500 to $5,000.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365: $135 to $175/hour. Techno-functional specialists charge 15 to 25% more.
Project-based implementation costs:
- Small teams (5 to 20 users): $10,000 to $25,000
- Growing SMBs (20 to 75 users): $25,000 to $75,000
- Enterprise (300+ users): $150,000 to $500,000+
How long does a typical CRM implementation take?
A typical CRM implementation takes 1 to 3 months for small businesses and 6 to 12+ months for larger or complex organizations. The timeline depends on company size, system complexity, data quality, and required integrations.
General timelines by company size:
- Small teams with simple needs: 1 to 3 months
- Mid-sized companies: 3 to 6 months
- Large enterprises with integrations and custom workflows: 6 to 12+ months
Most CRM consulting companies follow these core phases:
- Requirements and planning
- Configuration and customization
- Data migration
- System integrations
- Testing and training
- Go-live and post-launch support
Delays usually come from unclear goals, messy data, over-customization, and poor stakeholder alignment. Strong executive support and structured change management reduce risk and speed up adoption.
What industries need CRM consultants?
Industries with complex sales cycles, high customer volume, or strict compliance requirements need CRM consultants the most. Any sector that depends on structured customer data, repeat business, and multi-step pipelines benefits from expert CRM guidance.
Industries that commonly hire CRM consultants:
- Retail and eCommerce need automation for marketing, customer segmentation, and order tracking.
- Healthcare requires secure patient data management, compliance alignment, and workflow coordination.
- Real estate manages leads, property listings, follow-ups, and contract workflows.
- Financial Services and Banking (BFSI) depend on regulatory compliance, client lifecycle tracking, and relationship management.
- Insurance handles policy management, claims tracking, and cross-channel communication.
- Hospitality and travel focus on customer experience, loyalty programs, and booking systems.
- Consulting and professional services track pipelines, manage proposals, and monitor client engagement.
- Manufacturing and logistics need integration between CRM, ERP, and supply chain systems.
