AVA Consulting

This organization is a scam!! Every single email they send is unsolicited, has a position that does not match my skills or history and when I call the hiring company about the position denies (a) having the position at all, (b) having any position similar open for hire, (c) having any working relationship with AVA Consulting. Many of the "openings" are with companies based in a location I moved away from over 10 years ago. While the "openings" are always listing a city near my current location the client company usually states they don't have any offices in my state (or region). The "agents" of AVA always immediately hang up when I try to conference call with the client. The excuse for all of the inconsistencies in the postings, etc is that "these are general openings" and "the hiring coordinators [at the client companies] typically do not know about the specifics of the positions"These are data mining scams. Whether there is any legitimate work being done at AVA is unknown. But there is plenty of data mining scamming that is originating from them. "

If I can put 0 stars I would. Got a call for a job I applied for, but the man sounded so unprofessional. Claims his name is Andrew Helmer. The questions he asked sounded like he wanted to collect my personal information like my birthday etc. Never have I ever have a company do that. Only when you’re getting hired and doing the onboarding then you will need to share your birthday to the company. I’m glad I read the reviews on here, Glassdoor and Indeed to see others facing the same issues. Please be careful! Such a sad world where we have to make sure weren’t not getting scammed to get a freaking job!! "

BEWARE!!! Scam company who is looking for your personal information to do whatever they want with it.Get it together people, if you’re looking for a job, go look in your surrounding areas for work agencies where you can physically go into their office. Not out of state.Scamming people for google cards are a thing of the past and pretending to be IRS personnel.Believe the 1 stars not the 5 stars.People are paid to leave 5 star reviews.Majority of scammers come from Africa and India. They bring shame and dishonor to their family name. "

I was working but I was looking for a new career opportunity and AVA Consulting called me with a role. I interviewed for the position and AVA consulting informed me that the position was mine. I completed all the onboarding paperwork. I submitted my 2 weeks notice to my former company and trained the new hire to step into my role at my former company. The recruiter said he would get back with me with an official started. The 2 weeks passed and I never heard anything back with a started date. So I was left unemployed because I never heard back with a start date. This was very unprofessional and I would not recommend anyone to trust the company . "

This was my first job out of college and boy was being one of their contractors a learning experience. I got offered a position for a major national corporation through them. The pay was extremely low, even for a recent grad, for that area but I took the experience with an esteemed company as a trade off. A few months into the job and I realized I was missing weeks of pay at a time. I had to go back and forth with the consulting firm to get this resolved. No benefits were offered whatsoever. So on holidays when I was mandated not to work, I had no pay. This was particularly difficult in the November-December months as I lost nearly an entire paycheck due to holidays.The company I was working at had a policy that contractors could only be employed in a position for 30 months. I was at 24 months when I took a position with a new company as a direct hire (but was found via a different consulting firm).The moment I tendered my resignation, AVA Consulting’s demeanor changed entirely. The owner became extremely rude and eventually non-responsive. Almost immediately, I began receiving threatening emails from both the owner’s email address and the admin’s email address demanding money they claim I owe (I don’t). Years later, I still receive these threatening emails. I tried to contact the company earlier in the year in case they had been hacked, but was laughed at.I value my experience with the company I was placed with, but working with AVA Consulting was and continues to be horrific despite no longer being their contractor. "
