Mercedes started her career at the BBC in 1991, staying with the corporation until 2005 after running the Current Affairs Department. She co-founded Beautiful Productions in 2009 with Ben Swift

In 1996, Ben joined Granada Television in the busy newsroom, becoming a producer in 1998. He went on to work for the BBC and Channel 4 before moving to work in ad agencies. In 2004 he joined PSAfilms as Executive Producer, then co-founded Beautiful Productions with Mercedes Crescenti in 2009
