Black Unicorn PR was founded in 2018 by Julija (JJ) Jegorova. After over a decade of PR experience in-house, agency-side, and as Head of PR at a London-based startup, she decided it was time for a new approach. One that better serves startups and high-growth technology businesses.

In an old-school client-agency relationship, PR teams occasionally touch base but mostly disappear from sight. We waaay prefer the approach of becoming embedded in our clients team, becoming their remote PR department. We like to work closely with founders we get in their shoes and learn everything about their business in order to become one coherent team.

We know our onions in startup and tech PR and focus on what brings value. That means understanding the world of journalists, editors, events organisers, podcasters, and others.

Were a remote, global team scattered across the map, but our primary expertise, experience (and heart), is based in Europe. Our team comprises experienced PR veterans; we will never hand accounts over to a junior account manager. Because we actually dont have any of those.

And our founders? Well, JJ and Mauro are personally involved in your business, ensuring your satisfaction and results that truly reflect your success storyand then some.
