I often work with companies that run important SQL Server systems but do not need, or do not currently have a full-time database administrator.

Typical assignments include investigating slow SQL Server periods, blocking, deadlocks, wait stats, query plans, index problems, tempdb pressure, failed SQL Agent jobs, backup gaps, restore procedures, monitoring, disk capacity, and unsupported SQL Server versions. I also assist with upgrade planning, migration preparation, patch reviews, Always On availability groups, failover checks, and disaster recovery procedures.

I have more than 20 years of experience with enterprise databases and infrastructure. I have worked with SQL Server versions from 2005 through 2025. My professional background includes database and infrastructure roles connected with Oracle, IBM, HPE, Unisys, KBC Global Services, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, and Erste Bank.

Every assignment starts with the current SQL Server version, the problem or planned change, its business impact, recent changes, and the technical information already available.
