Awful software. Predatory practices. Nothing worked the way they said it would. Never could get Electronic signatures to work. Billing was completely unusable. Portal is not client friendly in the slightest. Customer service was never helpful and takes forever to get back to you. None of the integrations promised worked at all.Forced me into a 3 year contract. Be warned, if you don't cancel 60 days before, they AUTO RENEW you for 12 months! And You cannot get out of it. They do not notify you of your contract end date, of your renewal, nothing. Conveniently, as soon as my contract expired, I stopped receiving marketing emails altogether. Seems like they're trying to hide their billing, hoping you don't notice. "Riley Walters's Review Sourced from Google
I have been with them on their Caret Legal software for almost a year, and I ran into an IT issue that has altogether stopped my ability to do online banking and update my accounting books. It has been two months, and after sending several emails requesting merely a status update, they have simply stopped responding to me. I do not know what is going on with them, but this is terrible customer service and it is really affecting my business. I will not be recommending them to other firms. This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. We hired them to help with legal office software. They promised customer support. There was none. Unfortunately we signed a five-year contract and for the past five years we’ve been paying for absolutely nothing. This company also flat out lied to us. When we purchased it, we wanted to integrated with QuickBooks. They told my law partner that that wouldn’t be a problem at all. It wasn’t a Normas problem and didn’t work. This company is not trustworthy.I would never ever do business with them again and I can’t wait for our contract expire. We’re goingDon’t make the same mistake. We did. Steer clear of this company. "Andrew Segal's Review Sourced from Google
I cannot stress enough DO NOT PURCHASE PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! We started with Office Tools prior to AbacusNext purchasing them and were fairly happy with the product. Felt it was worth the $2600/year for the most part. Once they were bought out the price doubled the first year to just under $5200/per year. We were heading into tax season and did not have the time to make a change so we stuck it out. Now, 3 years later, they want over $6600. When I tried to cancel it prior to it's renewal date this year they said I can't because according to the contract I signed I had to give a 60 day notice. The contract does not say this specifically rather it directs you to a website that lists all the rest of specifications that they did not include on the contract. When I asked what the early termination fees were they said $6622 which is the price of the entire annual contract. Never run into that before. On a side note, whenever we tried to call for customer support, you would normally have to hold for at least half hour and then they were pretty useless in getting the problem solved. Not even close to being worth the $550/month we have to pay for this software. Deplorable company with no integrity and the software isn't even very good. Very hard to get reports out of due to the overabundance of categories and subcategories that you can choose. "TIMI GENTRY's Review Sourced from Google
This software was awful. It was constantly not working, so we ended up finally paying the extra money for support but then I would be on hold for easily 30-45 minutes each time. Then, for them to log in and look at the system everyone had to be logged out, that meant that our office of 10 people were twiddling their thumbs because our main software was unavailable. We had to purchase an additional license each time we hired a new person in order for them to be able to access the software. They failed to mention that each time we purchased a license it renewed our full agreement for an additional year. We were so unhappy that attempted to work with the CEO to cancel our account and when they refused we actually ended up getting another software program and paying for abacus law to sit inactive for six months until we could be rid of it. We now use Mycase which has been amazing. Their customer service is much better and we pay about half the price! I would NOT recommend. (Too bad there isn't the option to give 0 stars) "Erin Barnett's Review Sourced from Google
