I recently had an initial interview with a Catalina Consultant and was completely dissatisfied. She seemed uninterested, did not even bother to see what the past companies I had worked for even did and didn't even bother to email or call back at all to let me know the outcome after promising to, which I felt was pretty rude and completely unprofessional after wasting my time. "

I was recently a candidate working with Catalina Consultants for a role at Single O, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.From the initial call, it was clear the consultant had very limited knowledge about the company — including basic details such as its size or whether the role offered any flexibility. I was told they would follow up with more information, but I never heard back. I was then booked into an interview without ever receiving a job description. After asking multiple times, I was eventually sent the job advert again — not an actual JD.I interviewed with the CEO on a Friday and was told by the following Tuesday that the team loved me and I’d be progressing to the next stage, to meet the leadership team on site. When I asked for more detailed feedback, they were unable to provide any. By the end of that week, nothing had been scheduled. When I followed up, I was told I was “first on the list” and they were just working out schedules.A week later — still no communication. I emailed the CEO directly and received no response. After three weeks, I finally got someone from Catalina on the phone, who apologised and told me the role had been pulled. No prior notice, no proper communication — just an unprofessional and disorganised experience from start to finish.As someone who works in HR, I place high value on candidate care and professionalism. This experience has left such a bad impression that I would never consider engaging Catalina Consultants in a professional capacity. Furthermore, based on this process, I would also choose not to be a customer of Single O. "
