In 1996, newspapers began introducing portions of their content to the internet. The first newspaper to go online was the Orlando Sentinel, and the rest followed shortly after. Headed by Ron Shur, the National Financial News Service invented and implemented the first instance of real-time lead generation, in which users would fill out an online form to apply for a mortgage. The users information was sent to 3 separate mortgage companies, who would vie for the users business. Thenowsimple process was advertised with a suitably simple slogan: When Lenders Compete, You Save.
That year, National Financial News Service was working with over 300 newspapers in the country, including 97 of the 100 largest newspapers(The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, etc.), adding mortgage information, editorials, and advertisements to their online news articles.
In 2006, Ron sold the National Financial News Service to focus solely on eNet Web Services. The mission statement was simple: to provide unrivaled, full-service web design and SEO services.
In 2022, Bill Shur joined the agency, and eNet became a second-generation company.
In 2025, Joe Shur joined the company as the social media manager.
