We achieve this by a human-centric, strategy-first approach, combined with an emphasis on harnessing collaboration to maximize the impact of breakthrough ideas. Today’s ambitious marketers are restless out of necessity rather than choice. This is brought about by an exponential increase in the rate of change that is quickly transforming every marketer’s competitive, technology, consumer and marketing landscape.
The name Mechanica resulted from a thought exercise our founders undertook to “rethink the mechanics of branding.” Libby, Jim and Ted started Mechanica because they were convinced that the traditional agency model needed to be reimagined to help brands navigate the increasingly restless landscape.
This new model means that we first elevate positioning from being the sole responsibility of marketing to being jointly agreed upon by marketing and the c-suite. In order to get both parties on board, we undergo a data and collaboration driven process designed to align the entirety of an organization around positioning. Next, we’ve rethought the creative process which we call “Creative Agility.” This is a collaborative creative approach that combines deep in-house capabilities with a strong network of third-party partners. The process allows us to shape brand experiences across the entirety of the customer journey. Finally, the last tenant of our differentiated offering is our belief in the importance of trust and being “Humanly Fixated.” We believe that true collaboration can only occur in an organization hardwired for trust. This means forgoing sales and ego-driven relationships to fostering client relationships and an internal culture that constantly reminds us that we’re all simply human beings interacting with other human beings.
