We found ourselves in the hands of QBO after our previous accountant merged her practice with theirs. We didn't feel great about the process in working with them for tax prep and pursued other help after one year. Our new accountant caught a major error within minutes of scanning through our QBO filings which cost us well over $2,000 at the time.We followed up with their team to understand how an error like that could have happened. I was assured by the president that he would personally investigate; I never heard back. "

QBO has handled our accounting and tax work for 5+ years and done a great job. They are very responsive and attentive. If you need outsourced bookkeeping or accounting services, you'd be hard pressed to find a better option. "

What a nightmare working with QBO. I can only guess the set-up but it looks like top guy has his admin gals doing the work. Caught a big mistake on my return which they fixed. They also didn't file our return on time at no fault of ours, now we have a 10k penalty to deal with. I have proof through an email exchange that it was their fault. I was gonna let this go because it's so emotionally taxing to revisit but this afternoon I'm dealing with the aftermath of working with QBO. Since leaving them, I've had issues with the state of California saying they didn't get our payment (I paid through QBO electronically). Despite sending them proof of payment it still hasn't been resolved. QBO doesn't care to help unless we fork over another $125. One of our contractors said we sent him TWO 1099s (through QBO) so essentially claiming he had made double the income (he had to sort it out with the help of his accountant). A "real headache" --he said. How embarrassing. There was never any confirmation of the work done. They made me feel like I over-communicated but after they failed to file on time, I knew better. Once you find a REAL, ORGANIZED, TRUSTWORTHY accountant, you sleep better. I started with this new firm that sent me a nice doc outlining how they operate, what we can expect, dates, deadlines, and how best to get a hold of key people. Every single one of my emails has been answered in a timely manner. They've helped me fix all past issues. Everything has been SO smooth I could cry. Lastly, our new accountant says we shouldn't even be filing with multiple states. Sounds like an easy extra $$ for QBO on something that was unnecessary. AVOID! "

We have been using Quality Back Office for a number of years now. Their service is very responsive to inquiries and they have made running accounting much easier. It has been extremely helpful being able to add additional services as our business has grown. I would highly recommend QBO. "
