The wait time to receive your compensation is ridiculously frustrating. It's been well over a month and my payment is still processing. I also conduct research with human participants and can say with confidence that this is such an embarrassingly amateur company. There is absolutely no reason why they can't compensate participants immediately or at the end of the study--plenty of other marketing groups and researchers do! And from what I've heard, they use to process payment much faster. I won't be participating again--why would you when you have to wait 2 months to receive your compensation.Edit: I wish I could give 0 stars. Sago hasn’t compensated me for a study and are now ghosting my emails. DO NOT PARTICIPATE WITH SAGO ITS NOT WORTH IT! I thought this could be an easy side hustle but the hoops Sago makes you jump through, terrible service, and wait times for payment make it not worth the trouble. "

I've done many studies and focus groups with Sago (formerly Schlessinger). I've had nothing but good experiences. I would have given five stars. But I'm not a fan of the newer payment system (focus group wallet) they've switched over to. They used to pay you on the same day for in-person studies. Now you have to go through Focus Group Wallet in order to get your incentive payment and it will take many weeks before you receive it "

I'm not sure when SAGO took over but the wait time in getting paid is not fun especially if you could spend up to six hours at a site for a focus group! Staff was very nice but I miss the days when you would leave and get paid the same day! It make be fine for someone who has time to waste or doesn't need a payment right away but some people would like to get paid for their time the same day "

Of the companies that do these kinds of studies, SAGO is the least pleasant to deal with. It's not because of their staff or the facilities- both of which are excellent. Rather, it's the absolute headache in getting paid. Unlike all of their competitors, who simply hand you a debit card and/ or give you a virtual Visa, they make you sign up for an annoying & tedious virtual wallet thing , which just makes for delayed pay. I'm still waiting for my funds to be "redeemed" on two separate studies that I completed a few weeks ago. "

I've been with this service for years, prior to changing to Sago. And I've never had an issue since they've switch to Sago. The last two payments prior to the one I'm waiting on now, have been extremely late.I went to the site in Philadelphia Pa for a study on April 8, 2024 ( almost 3 months ago) and I have not received my physical Visa card yet. When I go online to get a track of my payment, it says it's been "paid". But I never received it.I have called the headquarters in Philadelphia, and in New Jersey. I have left multiple messages. I have even emailed multiple times. Two different time, I corresponded with two different people. One time, I replied to a new survey they emailed to me, I asked about my payment. Someone replied back. Then one time, I called the Philadelphia site general info phone number and someone answered the phone. I told him my issue. However both said, that they would be transferring my issues to someone who would be getting back to me.No one has gotten back to me.I am, still getting offers for studies, and yet still have not received my $150.I have been very loyal through the years, and never missed an appointment with none of the studies.Cleary that does not matter to this company.I will not do another survey until I am compensatedand even then, you have to pay me the day of my services moving forwardStephen "
