Boston University's College of Engineering needed a visually compelling and informative annual report to showcase the Department of Biomedical Engineering's accomplishments. They turned to Eliana Rose Design for a design aligned with Boston University's brand standards and highlighted the department's mission of advancing medicine through technology.

The most striking aspect is a circuit board motif running throughout the layout. This visual metaphor represents the connection between engineering and medical technology, reinforcing the department's innovative approach to advancing medicine.

The circuit board's intricate lines and connections create visual interest and serve as a framework for organizing data and infographics. This motif bridges the gap between abstract medical advancements and tangible technology, making the content more engaging for readers.

The designer also balanced color and typography to enhance readability and convey a modern, professional tone. The primary color scheme of blue with teal accents emphasizes the technological focus while maintaining a calm, trustworthy feel. Typography is clean and minimal, allowing the content to breathe and ensuring that key data points and accomplishments stand out.

Adding the Caduceus, a traditional symbol of medicine with a technological twist, reinforces biomedical advancement's core message. The symbol is reimagined as part of the circuit board to blend tradition with innovation, which aligns with the department's mission of advancing healthcare through cutting-edge technology.

This fusion is not just aesthetically striking but also symbolically rich. It visually communicates the intersection of medicine and engineering in a cohesive design. Plus, it gives the report a strong, memorable identity while staying true to its academic and technological roots!
