  • Project Brief: Design a limited-edition magazine that celebrates the intersection of soccer, fashion, art, and culture through bold editorial storytelling and premium print design.

Magazine print justifies a spot on a crowded newsstand when it treats the subject like a culture piece, not an ad. Dazed League does exactly that. It puts American soccer's rise on a physical cover and styles a cast of skaters, artists, and DJs like a fashion editorial.

The cover leads with people, not product. A tight studio portrait sets nine figures around a single soccer ball against moody blue. The "Playmakers" cover line and its subhead frame the issue as a story about a scene, not a game.

The interior leans into archival sports print. Decades of Nike jerseys and boots sit in a labeled collage. Vintage kits from Brazil, PSG, and Dortmund line up beside Mercurial and Tiempo silhouettes. The effect is a collector's catalog that rewards close reading.

The back cover drops the group shot for a single child in an oversized jersey. She cradles a ball against the same blue seamless. That quiet portrait bookends the issue and ties it back to Nike Soccer without breaking the editorial tone.
